Her Bill Cosby-supporting is VERY disappointing, but I can't deny her talent

Certain fanbase is mad because their fave with panned acting career will never achieve half of what Legend JHud has achieved.

Adam Lambert performs sold out stadium tours, Kelly Clarkson is the Queen of Media and Carrie Underwood carried country for a decade. She's definitely top 5 with Fantasia rounding out the list tho. :clap3:

and Adam and Jennifer did it without winning Idol, very impressive :clap3: :clap3: underdogs

Only 17 people have ever become EGOT.

So clearly it's not easy to achieve this even as a producer or writer.

Just splashing around money or writing tons of performance text doesn't work, otherwise countless producers and script/song writers would have achieved EGOT status by now.

And besides not all of the four are equal — Oscars and Grammy's are more prestigious than Emmy and Tony. And JHUD has both of those "queen" awards as a performer. That is pretty much the highest prestige an actual talent can ever achieve.

Oscars and Grammys are not more prestigious than an Emmy and a Tony though, otherwise EGOT would not be a thing people strive for.

She won a Tony, for signing a check and give it more popularity, but it is still a Tony.
Passionate actors can always try to get the triple crown of acting

What are the parameters we're using to argue one way or the other for which category is more prestigious than the other? Are we separating the worthiness of acting from supporting the projects that need to get off the ground?

Awards politics favoritism are not just limited to executive producing - when Harvey Weinstein (Oscars) and Neil Portnow (Grammys) were at their peak before they were disgraced and left it was all about politics for the performers and the product.

The supposed 'prestige' of the Oscars and Grammys over the Emmys and Tonys is entirely a facade and a lie, especially given the corruption of those two men it'll take decades to rid the smell of, if they ever do.

It's widely acknowledged by dozens of Academy members (past and present) AND Glenn Close on-the-record that Harvey Weinstein bought Gwyneth Paltrow her Oscar in 1999, so much so that she hid at her parents house for three weeks after rumored death threats following the ceremony. There's dozens of examples beyond that.

It's also widely acknowledged by former Grammy nominating members that some held blackmail over Portnow to pick their preferred artists for awards because they had knowledge over his head that he raped a female artist following a performance at Carnegie Hall.

Luckily both are gone now, but what I'm saying is, solely from a fairness standpoint regarding the politics, they're all now level and one shouldn't be higher than the other. If people want to question J.Hud's Tony, I get that. But not give unearned prestige to one of the EGOT letters over another.

her random, but Primetime, Emmy was a solo win

She was the lead creative force on Her AOTYs.

thanks for your concern. perhaps jennifer still can have individual/lead achievements in the fields of theater and television so you don't lash out at strangers online.

HUGE accomplishment. :clap3:

A Strange Loop is an incredible piece of work and you should be grateful she put her money on the line to bring the voice of a brilliant queer Black creative on Broadway instead of taking shots at her out of jealousy.  A great talent and a great benefactor of the arts.

To me, as I said, it’s not as impressive when you’re sharing the award with 40 other people and barely did anything.

No, it's factually impressive. She has won all four of the biggest awards, becoming one of only 17 people to do so. :michael:

Wow and an actual egot? None of this best original song fraud?

IDK if you know this, but the Oscar for Best Original Song is still an Oscar, and the O in EGOT stands for Oscar.

Many of the people who currently have an EGOT have the O because of a technical category. :rip: Many also have G, T, or Es because of a technical category. EGOT does not mean "awards in acting only".

Well deserved. She's such a revolutionary talent and I wish we got to see more of her in all fields.
