Ferret Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Atrl can say anything about them but no one matches their sales power which is way better than having streaming power economic wise

The new rules starting this year sweetie Last year when Dynamite/Butter release, One person can buy max 4 copies from each versin of the song, and Butter/Dynamite have multi remix, 4 copies x version. but this year Billboard only count 1 digital copies for each person. Let’s see how many sales BTS could get this year with the new rules

Anyway, yeah but it's interesting to see how they hold the upcoming weeks. To see if there are real demands for them
Rv1709 Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 Is this going to be carries first to not debut at 1?
gagacasanova Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 11 minutes ago, Rv1709 said: Is this going to be carries first to not debut at 1? Nah. She's had 4 #1 albums on the Billboard 200 and this is her 9th album. Carnival Ride, Play On, Blown Away and Cry Pretty all debuted at #1. The others debuted in the top 10 (Some Hearts #2, Storyteller #2, My Gift #8 and My Savior #4).
HEAVYONIT Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Update: Quote K-pop superstars BTS will easily claim #1 on this week’s HITS Top 50. After one day of sales and streams, the 35-track anthology album Proof (Big Hit/Geffen) is now projected to open in the vicinity of 300k in total activity to become the second-biggest debut of the year. Pure sales will make up almost 90% of the total. Here's what we're looking at for the week. BTS (BigHit/Geffen) 290-310k Carrie Underwood (Capitol Nashville) 28-33k Motionless In White (Roadrunner) 20-25k XXXtentacion (Bad Vibes Forever/Columbia) 20-25k Now if you'll excuse us, we need to work on our Zoe Lofgren Pinterest. I am absolutely in SHOCK at Carrie's numbers. My jaw literally dropped open. Her last album debuted with 266k!!!! Holy **** that's bad!

(-83%, approximately) I was thinking it might be in the range of Kacey (77k) though. a comparable artist is jason aldean: 2014 278k, 2021 37k (-87%) florida georgia line: 2014 197k, 2021...well, its position was #21 blake 2013 199k, 2021 24k (-88%) luke: 2013 528k, 2020 65k (-88%) Edited June 14, 2022 by fridayteenage

The numbers are definitely disappointing but as fridayteenage demonstrated, the drops seem to be a recurring theme for older country artists. She's about to turn 40...country music is not friendly to females, let alone "older" ones. The album rollout was also terrible, and the lead single was not super well-recieved. She will still be a mega touring force, and that's where she'll make her money. Edited June 14, 2022 by Black Jesus

I'm not trying to be shady in any way Sorry if it read that way I really like some of her music and have always thought of her as country royalty so I'm honestly shocked I know the country crowd is quite difficult but queen will make her coins touring as you said
fridayteenage Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 the streaming era country girls aren't doing well either. it looks like kacey's the only one with solid numbers now, and country radio hates her so the traditional country listener has never been her base anyway. maren debuted at #21 with a big hit, gabby debuted at #27 kelsea's last regular album was #12 (later that year, she released all the songs again, but made them slow, which got #89) reigning cma female winner carly debuted at #83
Lille Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Carrie's numbers are...sad. That's basically her core fan-base buying/streaming, and crickets for everyone else.
Ger Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Those numbers are horrible for Carrie, wow, the decline. I mean, and she's not an exception, all female artists seem to pull these bad numbers, crazy how the genre has been so dry for female artists. Pretty much only Luke Combs and Morgan are the only ones to still pull massive units, which makes it even more impressive for those acts. Streaming has really hurt Country, huh.
Hunter_13 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Carrie doing less than Miranda's last album is shocking
getback Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Carrie's label messed it all up with the release of this album I'm so...
getback Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 They should've waited until next month. Ghost Story would be inside top 10 country radio + the vinyl release will give it a big boost I'm so mad right now her new label has been sabotaging her so much they literally butchered Cry Pretty era too She's holding really well on iTunes tho so she might end up selling more than initial predictions.
UnusualBoy Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Sad numbers for Carrie, I didn’t know she was releasing, let me give a quick stream to the album.

But still, Carrie has a lot of fans that buy album, i really don't know what happened.

kitasss_vlc Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Hahahahhaha not 35 tracks hahahahahah The desperation to get some streams to make up for the MASSIVE drop that is coming next week and getting those coins from their fans.... Hahahha I just cant But hey, bravo to them for getting that money so easily lol
kitasss_vlc Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 U can tell... Literally NOBODY is talking about them releasing a new album... I just found out now that I entered Atrl after 3 days, otherwise... People just dont care about them other than the fans that buy their album 27 times each and leave their videos on repeat when they go to school
