Okay having looked at the actual video and the lead-up to where that small clip I saw posted earlier came from, it's clear that Kelly was referencing the accent in the context of the hosts really trying to get her to say disparaging things (it seems) and not her drama/mental health being a joke, in which case Kelly really is not in the wrong at all...

 

...that being said I can still see why Britney is defensive about it

It’s one thing to believe she deserves her freedom - no one questions that, only sick people would think that she doesn’t deserve autonomy over her own person. What exactly that says about me? She certainly had a lot of time in her hands back in 2007 so if social media was a thing back in the day I can assure you Britney would’ve come for everybody and their mothers when all that chaos was happening.

 

Do I believe Britney’s random posts on Instagram need context? Absolutely. But for her own sake she should just focus on her book and perhaps her content wouldn’t be taken out for context all the time.

 

I do hope she doesn’t come for Kelly because that’s where I draw the line with Britney. She can come for whoever she wants, keep dragging Christina back and forth if that’s what she wants I couldn’t care less really, but what she is not going to do is to come for Kelly C. That’s been nothing but a big Britney supporter through out her entire career.

Not there being pages of arguments for a comment that was edited just to create drama.
 

From all the interviews I’ve seen when they ask Kelly about Britney during that time Kelly has never had anything bad to say about Britney even when everyone else was doing it. Seeing the full version makes so much sense that it’s just a comment taken out of context.

Now... I love both Brit and Kelly, but Brit needs to snap out of it. She needs to focus all this energy towards the people RESPONSIBLE for her trauma. Kelly has been supportive to Britney, she is NOT the one to come for. C'mon now Brit.

Weird... She also attacked Xtina for no reason when there was no malice in what she said. 

 

She's been through an ordeal caused by her own family. That's who she should be attacking and turning against. Having an hardship is not a license for venting out like that. No one should be walking on eggs shells just to avoid offensing her. Kelly was actually supportive.

The way Kelly was always in support of Britney, including in that clip where she redirects what the interviewers are saying makes Britney is crazy to being a ploy for her album, it's not even negative.
