What on earth are you going on about? She entered the entertainment industry, specifically the movie industry (which this award is for), in the early 90s looking like this:

 

 

There was no one in the entertainment industry that looked like her or was anything like her, which is what set her apart from others. What's most amusing about your comment is that the woman referenced in your username has been clearly noted to copy and paste Jennifer Lopez's looks and style.

Who cries over an MTV award??? It’s a friggin popcorn trophy - not an Oscar. Her narcissism and pretentiousness is sky high on level 100. Nobody cares about the MTV Movie Awards anymore, and the ceremony is now filled with a bunch of D-List to Z-List folks as real movie stars stopped attending years ago.

Since when did Jenny break out in the early 90s? Jennifer had her breakout in 1997 playing Selena Quintanilla. It’s incredibly ignorant to suggest Jennifer was breaking boundaries for Latinas when her first major role was playing a Latina who actually broke down barriers.

Anaconda was released a month after Selena. 
 

Both were shoot in 1996.
 

Anaconda was even more easy to see than Selena since it got more theaters distribution.

There was no mention of race for Karen Cisco role in Out Of Sight. A big deal since Sandra Bullock, a white actress was supposed to get the role.

@Death On Two Legs I don’t care about this award but I do care about Jenny. That’s my choice to waist my time for her. Since I admire her for so many reasons.
