In an interview with TVLine, series creators Matt and Ross Duffer — AKA the Duffer Brothers — make it clear that they understood fans’ curiosity. “You’re supposed to be asking those questions,” says Matt. However, the sibs aren’t eager to confirm whether or not Noah Schnapp’s character is gay. “This is where it gets tricky since we haven’t released the whole season yet,” Matt continues. “I just want people to watch the final two episodes” of Season 4. And then ofc Will dies, because noone cared about him in the past few years, so noone really knows his favourite song to save him from Vecna.
