I had ordered the Collector's Edition of the novel after the movie premiere and I've just finished the bonus Henry chapter. It opens up the world extraordinarily, yet it feels like a perfect closure at the same time. I'm in love with the story so much that I would never deprive myself of a sequel - not sure if my heart would handle any other potential drama plotline though

Yes, the director has already spoken about doing a sequel if this is successful - which it has been. So fingers crossed!

They're still very much crazy in love, live together and are dealing with their everyday lives basically. And most importantly - they are engaged and about to get married. Which is exactly why I said there's room for potential sequel development. I would die to see their wedding on screen.

I could see them doing it, but I think Nicholas is slowly trying to do more serious stuff and go into his dramatic phase, so he might not want to do another film.

That's perfectly possible! So far the numbers are good and there is some original material + the Henry bonus chapter they could use in a sequel 

 

Plus, there's one little thing that made me suspicious

The ending we saw in the movie (Alex and Henry in the house he grew up in Texas) is NOT the first one they filmed. They did some reshoots back in February, including the ending. The original one saw Alex and Henry in their house in NYC celebrating Thanksgiving.

 

 

This is where the speculation begins because that is super close to the bonus chapter, so if they changed the ending for one exactly the same as the book, it makes me wonder if they did the reshoots with a sequel in mind? Hmmm

(Reading the book) the e-mails between them are so ******* cute. Especially the way Henry writes

 

The love between them in the book is way deeper than what the movie shows (one of my complaints about the adaptation)
