cyclone Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 (edited) Do you guys agree with what she had to say? I am a bardigang and she may just be ignorant but I found her comments questionable at best, she always prides herself on being "political" but when its time for true change to actually happen she wants to side with republicans to give "thoughts and prayers". Words are not enough... Please keep all replies respectable, mature, and serious. Edited May 26, 2022 by cyclone
Gui Blackout Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Literally the talking point from Republicans This is kind of a mask off moment
RainDreamer Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 I don't see where the pro gun stuff comes in from her tweets
EtherealCat Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 heaven forbid people discuss change to prevent what has happened to thousands of families from happening again

This IS the time for a CHANGE. And these tweets by Cardi are disgusting and highly problematic. BIG yikes. Edited May 26, 2022 by mellenthin
cyclone Posted May 26, 2022 Author Posted May 26, 2022 (edited) Pro gun control agenda is the opposite of pro gun agenda, but I will clarify post title and OP to give more context. This comes after the school shooting in texas Edited May 26, 2022 by cyclone
Redstreak Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Cardi sis people DO care. Why do you think they’re trying to talk about solutions? How does she always manage to have an awful take…
Daddy Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Look at the people around her. Look at her shooting guns herself. It's ingrained in the American culture, no matter your skin color. Trash remains trash. Stop listening to popstars with zero braincells.
Danny789 Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 I believe her statements are genuine, but it looks bad cause Pro-Gun politicians use this same talking point to avoid the conversation of gun control. But we all know Cardi is not conservative so I don’t think this is a “got you moment” that people are trying to make it out to be.
Kavish Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 We can be considerate of the pain and push agendas to limit the pain at the same time.
raven Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 You can recognize that this tragedy is the result of long-standing political issues while still caring about the lives that have been affected. These things are not mutually exclusive.
KillingYourCareer Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 No offense but apart from her occasional bop, no one should pay attention to what she says. Stick to shaking your ass sis
luckythisway Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 (edited) She’s right. It’s unfortunate that the only time gun discussions arise are after a mass shooting. We should be mourning the losses of life, not shoving our selfish beliefs down everyone’s throats. There’s plenty of time to have these conversations and actually change legislation in this country, but politicians only want to talk about their “agendas” when there’s a mass shooting in the headlines. How exactly is wanting to prevent another mass shooting to happen... a "selfish belief"?

Because this is the only time where idiots who are pro-gun can actually understand the consenquences of it. They're actually braindead and need for **** like this to happen (and it happens literally every other week in the US) for them to grasp it.
PopNStuff Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 She never even said she's pro gun. I get her sentiment because nobody is literally talking about how to support these families, they're going to have to use GoFundMe, but I think she went about this all wrong because it is important to discuss why these things happen: because Murica loves its gun.
Raver Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Cardi is pro gun btw. She owns a bunch of rifles and other guns + has a shooting range at her house in Atlanta. Anyways, not everything needs her opinion. She can’t express herself well and always ends up looking foolish. Just release the next album season of Cardi tries already and stfu
