I really hate how complacent USians are about these things (myself included). The revelations about the cop’s inaction, the coverup alone should be cause for mass riots in uvalde.

Texas Department of Public Safety Director Col. Steven McCraw revealed that the husband of slain elementary teacher Eva Mireles tried to save her but was barred from doing so.

Ruben Ruiz is a police officer for the school district and was on the scene after the gunman entered the school and opened fire.

McCraw said Mireles called Ruiz and told him that “she had been shot and was dying.”

“And what happened to him, is he tried to move forward into the hallway,” McCraw said. “He was detained and they took his gun away from him and escorted him off the scene.”

I really can't get myself to watch that video. From the screenshots, and tweets about it. It has already been very upsetting. I feel so bad for those kids living through that while the "good" guys with guys were being ******* cowards. Why are their names not plastered across media. They deserve to never have another job even as a ******* security guard.

They need to released the unedited version with the childrens' screams. This is real life, and nobody cares until it's their turn. I'm sick of the narcissism in America and the do-nothing politics.

OMG at Michael Tracey tweeting that.

And wbk, cops are the biggest SISSIES out of their own insecurity

This is a giant story and probably deserves a separate thread on here. For me, this is a must watch. I know it’s difficult, but it genuinely terrified just how deeply negligent these police officers were. I’ve been pretty ACAB for a while now but this was just something else. More people need to see this and charges should be filed.
