this is terribly but sadly the norm

Very sad.  In before the conservatives scream about the teachers forming a militia to protect students with guns

Posted

I hope there aren’t casualties!

this seems to happen very very frequently in the states and not in other countries.

tragic and deeply upsetting. and absolutely preventable…

America still thinking it's the land of the free and the most enviable place to live on the planet...

meanwhile the rest of the world thinks its a total shithole :biblio:

I can't even imagine living there and doing normal things like going to school or grocery shopping, with the fear of being randomly shot in the back of my mind.

Just checked and thankfully they attend a different school in the area so they are not affected.  Still thinking of everyone having to deal with this.  An elementary school shooting is every parents worst nightmare, and it's ridiculous this country doesn't do anything to try and stop it.

This country is a disgusting unlivable mess. I don't know if we can ever be fixed.

Not an elementary school. This is heartbreaking and shouldn’t be happening to children. :!ohno:
I wonder what needs to happen before the US draws the line?

Watching the Breaking News coverage on ABC, 14 deaths so far. I'm sick.

Just seeing 2 deaths on multiple outlets (including ABC) and approximately 13 being treated in hospitals currently

This is depressing. I'm really tired of hearing such news.

I'm so glad I'm not living in USAssholes

The gun policy there just makes me livid

considering the second news breaks of a school shooting conservatives instantly start defending guns...we're just used to it at this point. :rip:

I absolutely hate having young, elementary school age siblings in this day and age. Every single day I hope that nothing happens to them. I am so sorry that these families had to experience this. I’m also in Texas so it hits kind of close to home

Its up to 14 dead now, this country is embarrassing.

But why an elementary school? What will conservatives say now?

Posted

The shooter killed his grandmother before going into the school and killing elementary students. SICK!

Posted

Extremely heartbreaking. I hate to say it but there will be more "thoughts and prayers" and zero change. Nothing happened after Sandy Hook.

Sandy Hook was an elementary school, and conservatives claimed the victims were crisis actors.
