I don't know either. I live in TX though so mandates like that are never gonna happen here for most employers.

The vast majority of those deaths were from actively choosing not to get vaccinated in a job where you make contact with multiple people on a daily basis. Not only putting themselves at risk, but everyone they came into contact with.

So it’s not only about how many cops died. How many more people died from interacting with a selfish cop who said “my body, my choice”?

Also, the point is that the COVID deaths are added in to make it look like cops are under fire and need vast amounts of funding in order to keep up with skyrocketing crime. Even though, again, the vast majority of the deaths that Klobuchar cites here were from the choice that police made not to get vaccinated, and that police unions made when they fought against municipalities enforcing their own mandates.

You don’t seem to be catching onto the fact that cops and their police unions fought EXTREMELY HARD to not have to follow their cities’ vaccine mandates. They actively endangered themselves and then claimed their COVID deaths as “dying in active duty” for more federal funding and family benefits packages.

Yes., it quite literally does. Being a cop is one of the safest jobs there could be for what it is. :skull:

Giving them some kind of Congressionally-recognized week is akin to equating a job to something like race.

More cops die by suicide a year than on duty, and cops end-up killing people at higher a rate than they are killed.

All the ACAB people in here would be the first ones to absolutely **** their pantaloons in a society without police

They also killed 1055 people in their line of duty including a disproportionate number of black people.
