samuel656 Posted May 22, 2022 Share Posted May 22, 2022 (edited) As much as I think it’s wrong and messed up of the label, before tiktok it was Instagram live, or a bunch of Instagram posts or tweets leading up to release. It just sucks for artists this time because tiktok is so intertwined with music right now. But the dancing trend is pretty much over anyway, and I feel like most of the recent viral songs are hella camp like “my jingle jingle.” Just the labels being cheap, thinking if the GP eats up a 30 second snippet, then they will still want the song when it’s rush released three weeks after it goes viral and everyone’s already over it. Kinda sucks considering she already met them halfway by making the production "poppier" sounding.
