It does not. Adele did 839K+ with just one version, but of course she's above everyone else in the music industry when you talk about numbers. Harry's doing great. I'm sure the album is gonna be doing amazing numbers in the upcoming weeks. Stability. Not everyone has that.

Meanwhile Red TV 175K SEA, Fearless TV 109K SEA, Evermore 175K SEA, and even Folklore, which did marginally better, was aided by its long tracklist and was behind Harry's House in terms of average per track: Folklore 13,588 vs Harry's House 14,769. Y'all will say anything to discredit big albums by people who aren't your faves. Embarrassing OT: I'm so proud of him

More Than A Melody Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 (edited) 3 hours ago, Paranoid Android said: The US proportion of Harry's Spotify numbers is a bit low and the Apple music performance hasn't been great. Sour and TUN were both short albums that have done better. So I don't think there's any thing wrong with expecting a higher SEA from him. Especially when male artists have generally higher number. Anyway, it's weekday performance has been healthy and it should have a good hold SEA wise next week. The US proportion is low because he's huge globally, not because the US numbers aren't big. He literally debuted #1 in the UK, Ireland, Australia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Lithuania, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland, and Sweden (so far), territories most anglo artists don't touch (like Germany, France, and Italy) or breaking records (UK, Australia) most of the artists you see doing huge US % do so because they don't really get that many streams worldwide. Sour and TUN are outliers that no other pop acts (not even Ariana herself, for instance) can replicate. Male or female, short or long tracklist. You have Drake, Post Malone in the past, and idk... J. Cole?? Who else? Cause The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, BTS, all the male pop acts, don't come even close to Harry's average per track. And 95% of the male hip hop acts, which are notorious for having huge streaming numbers, especially in Apple Music (where all pop music struggles) are below it as well... I'll remind you that he did this average with an album that leaked FULLY over a month before release in HQ. It was announced in the biggest radio station in the country that it had leaked and made international headlines. Also, the album also had 1 pre album single (that smashed, but then again, so did Jack Harlow and...). Obviously there isn't anything "wrong" with expecting better SEA. It's not illegal or offensive lmao. But it's ridiculous because almost NO ONE does better SEA than that. The expectations you set for him are unrealistic and absurd. It reeks of trying to downplay his success... Edited May 28, 2022 by More Than A Melody
