Both were kinda the biggest members / celebs of the group though. Zayn suffered a lot from islamophobia/discrimination (especially in the UK) but he was still very popular.

 

But yeah he is definitely one of the most wasted potentials in my opinion. His debut was fine. His music went downhill from there (with the exception of 2-3 tracks). Plus on top of all of that he was battling an ED and struggles with anxiety/mental problems which made it hard for him to promote or do anything + label issues.

He’s not selling 800k lmao don’t be ridiculous, literally none of his fans or HDD are predicting that  I’m honestly happy with anything after FL debuted with 35m, he’s grown so much so to see his success grow with that is crazy. Idk what to expect for streaming.

 

He’s most likely breaking the vinyl record though, the pure sale presale numbers are very good.

Not surprised, Harry is Harry and he still has a major grip on most stans of his from his One Direction days even if it's just a light one  good for him

Not surprising after AIW almost broke the record on its first day.  I’ll be interested to see the longevity.  I completely underestimated AIW so I won’t do that again.

He not only has a grip on the OD fans but he gained a lot of new ones with his last era.

he's not doing 800k like Adele, but for sure, he'll have better longevity. There's nothing groundbreaking about the album, but it's something that you want to play the entire thing again and again.

Exactly, everyone I knew that was completely obsessed with him in high school is posting about this album on my ig/fb feeds I don't see this behaviour for a lotttt of other artists

Ya I was 13 when 1D were on X Factor and their biggest hater through my teen years but I am a massive Harry listener now thanks to the past two eras. Talent won
