she should be worried.

if you never release music (like her or sky ferreira) then you’re unemployed as far as i’m concerned.

Time to call Ally, Dinah Jane, and Lauren.

to be fair might as well call up Camilas ass too based off her latest album sales

The amount of artists and especially female artists these days that get shelved or un prioritized is seriously insane, but thats what happens when they are more interested in someone that isn’t talented and relies on looks or an already established connection. Back just 10 years ago it seemed like almost mostly everyone that got signed to big labels had success.

I’m going to go ahead and assume that she’s perfectly content being an indie artist but her label is holding her album hostage until she gets a hit. :katie:

This makes no sense because "Wild Side" was a hit, and if her label were the one controlling things they wouldn't have released "Fair" as a single.

I don’t feel sad for her.  I don’t know what I feel exactly, but it’s not sadness. Lol

What an ******* you must be

The outrage and for what? Someone who chooses to release once a year and expects everyone to wait for her next "culture reset" ???

This girls ship has sailed, and a lot of her own ego is the reason why.

Maam what did u expect? A song every other two years?? There’s no one to blame but her. And she’s not interesting musically to play the beyonce/Adele mysterious thing.

I have never seen anyone with that kinda push and support from the Industry like hers with no actual smashes or anything.

clearly her label is holding her back and I dont believe the "i'm a perfectionist" excuse anymore. I think the label is not supporting her anymore due to the underwhelming performances of her tracks and this is what is causing the massive delays. ugh so frustrating

She has two smashes, where she is credited as lead and then another two hits. Y'all love to use this excuse. Additionally her coming out of one of the biggest Girl Groups of the 2010s is enough to warrant a push, especially when she delivers when it comes to visuals and live performances thus far.

Anyway she's being a weirdo, girl you better drop that ****

I can see her in 1/2 years telling us what was happening behind the scenes, problem is it'll be too late by then to revive her career. She should be speaking out now instead when there's still a little chance to save it.

I don’t know how to feel about her. On one hand, I feel sad because she’s clearly buckling under pressure but I also don’t think she’s as hardworking or passionate as she should be. I mean look at the kind of work Doja is putting in. She needs some of that determination for her career to take off. I think her label is sketchy AF but she’s a huge reason for the delays too.

Some people here are being a holes but she’s young, she can still turn her life around. She needs to start working and releasing music AND performing that **** everywhere. Literally work your ass off if you wanna be a MPG.

She has time for Instagram and Twitter? Camilla is on album #3 and she's yet to announce her album.

I don't even think I can blame it on RCA. They are trash as a label with their artist but they still will release artist music even when it doesn't sell well. While tinashe had a delay on Joyride she still released like 6 singles joyride came out and RCA released a nightride. Tinashe stayed giving her fans content and even self released Amethyst. RCA released Zayn's last two albums even though they went huge sellers. They are doing major things for Doja right now but she still released a lot of content on her own plus her debut album before RCA took her seriously Also look at Jojo with background she released 2 mixtapes on her own while being held hostage by Blackground, then 3 ep's under Atlantic while making Mad love,  plus released covers.

the difference between Normani and these artists above is that they all love music and like releasing content for their fans. They either went against the label and released content or worked with the label to compromise. Normani doesn't want to be an artist she wants the life style and the fame but doesn't want to put in the work. There were many blind items that producers pulled their tracks from her because SHE was the one holding back and choosing not to release.

It's so weird to blame the labels tho. I'm pretty sure they always had a meeting asking for Normani's update and Normani probably didn't have anything ready. She said she never wanted to release Motivation but was pressured by the label. Well, I would pressure my students too if they did not submit their assignment; they can't be going to college and not submitting anything for grading, right? Sure she's perfectionist and wanted to release what she wants, but she seems clueless and direction less so why not let the label decide the kind of music she make.

This comment combined with the photoshopped aged, sun damaged picture of Britney as a profile photo ... :deadbanana4:
