TheBoss Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 I enjoyed it! Billy's character was so annoying at times tho he was really pushing it

Europe Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Just finished it. Best movie of the year. I loved it so much!
Smarticle Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 This was cute! It was a huge excuse for Billy to touch Luke all the time 1
PopMusicJunkie Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 The movie is okay, but Billy Eichner is insufferable right from the beginning. The chemistry simply just wasn’t there with Luke Macfarlane.
hardbrit Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 Google already has it for rent. It is flopping SO hard in he Box office

Mainly because my job is giving out free tix () but I still think it's a cute look to support ze gays. I will be watching and report back because I heard it was funny. TS Madison apparently did what needed to be done Where do you work that they give out free tickets? That is amazing
Likingstars Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I just watched this and errggg what a terrible movie Never in my life I hate a lead character this much tbh. Billy is just being loud and obnoxious and entitled for 2 hours straight and there is little to no chemistry between him and Luke

I just finished watching the film and it starts with Billy screaming at you and it goes on for the duration of the film. His "character" doesn't seem like a real person, so it's hard to relate to, empathize with, or like him as a character. 75% of the cast also yell their lines; it's very jarring. I suppose the writers think "it's funnier if you yell it." But I do disagree and think that Billy and Luke had some chemistry. I pretty much fast-forwarded to the scenes with Billy and Luke. I didn't care enough about the other characters or storylines to invest. I think the MAIN PROBLEM with this movie is that it was made for OLD PEOPLE. My God, all of the references made in the film were for BOOMERS. So this was destined to be a box office flop. It doesn't appeal to Gen Z and BARELY appeals to Millennials. The only CURRENT references in the film that were made were "Call Me By Your Name" (said by an extra walking out of the theater) and Lil Nas X. The rest of the film constantly threw out references like "When Harry Met Sally," Barbara Streisand, Jodie Foster, "You've Got Mail," and Ronald Reagan. Dude, what? Who is this movie even for? Boomers don't care about gays. Cater to and market gay entertainment to Gen Z, Millennials, and maybe, maybe, Generation X. ...Vin Edited October 23, 2022 by Vin
TheDreamer Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Kinda liked this movie but I agree Billy's character was so offputting right from the start The first 15 mins really went all over the place that could easily turn people off, which is unfortunate because it was actually a nice lighthearted film. anyways, I love the Schitt's Creek stanning, and now that I think about it, I really miss that show
Uncatena Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 i have some unfortunate news for the gheys who watched this and hated Billy's character
Totami Legend Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Couldn’t finish it. So boring. I don’t know who that Billy guy is but he’s so ******* annoying jeez
Pop Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I watched it and uh… it really is bad. Both main characters are insufferable. Billy is annoying and over dramatic and his boyfriend is a “not like the other gays” pick-me girl. The humor is NON EXISTANT, the characters are shallow as a puddle of water and the entire thing gave me major cringe. The only good part was Billy’s speech at the beach.
Europe Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 Does anyone know if the movie at least did cute numbers after it's streaming release?
Roman Holiday Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 Idk why but I have no desire to watch this The trailer bugged me. I hate movies that think they’re being so progressive to have a non-stereotypical gay character and it’s pointed out how “he can’t be gay, he watches sports and drinks beer”. As if tons of gay men aren’t just regular men who wants a dick.

But Luke McFarlane's character doesn't end up being "non-stereotypical" like that, thankfully, if you ever do end up watching it. I felt like it was Billy's character projecting his own initial fears onto him, and Luke learning to be more comfortable in his skin throughout the movie, too.
Into The Void Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Saw this 2 nights ago and it was good. Luke was great, Billy's character was honestly very annoying lol

P!nk Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Is this out on streaming anywhere? I’d like to watch but not necessarily buy this.

superben Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I just watched this movie, and I hate Billy's character (Bobby) so much. He is so obnoxious and makes everything about himself. I can't feel sympathetic towards him. The greatest thing about this movie is that it addresses lots of daily things about gays that are barely ever got mentioned in a mainstream release ever, but other than that, the plot and the characters are not done well.
