If we make it through Pride for at least the next couple of years globally we're in the clear.

But if not that's the huge red flag because it'll be our indicator that Jynneos is not a lifetime vaccine and they'll have to move on to Plan B.

Problem is they don't have a Plan B at the moment because there's not enough data around Jynneos to begin with.

The UK are now rolling out 2nd doses, before it was only one.

Im not in any rush to get mine since cases are so low now, I think I’m gonna hold off for now and wait to see if there’s a surge.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world still have 0 doses. :gaycat6: At least it is not really a threat, for now.

I feel like this is just going to make things more confusing.

Should be sooner and a different name entirely, not just abbreviated/truncated.

I need to look up the transition language reasoning behind the 1-year timeline.

The OPOXID-22 submission by Jeremy Faust of Harvard Medical School was a much better submission. :doc:

Apparently mpox was from men's health clinic Rezo in Montreal and its staff member Samuel Miriello. It's designed to work across languages but I still think it shouldn't have just been a truncated name. It doesn't even make sense it terms of classification. Moving away from the monkey terminology I understand but they needed to have moved wholesale. Imho.

Activism works? Eh, I'll let you all make that conclusion on this subject.

Anyways...hopefully won't have to bump this again during Pride :coffee2:

So I still haven't been vaccinated, should I even bother at this point?

I don't know what your habits are or the circles you're around and I don't want to assume anything.

But if they're still free in May it wouldn't hurt to have both shots prior to Pride season.

If Pride is relatively smooth sailing and numbers don't shoot up again, then we're in the clear globally.
