Roman Holiday Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 This is such bad PR for the gays. There is nothing sexy or cute about anally contracted diseases named after monkeys. Please just cancel Pride before it gets out of hand.
Miracle Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 (edited) 19 new cases in Portugal, 14 in Spain (some are reporting 12 today and 13 yesterday instead of 14 today and 11 yesterday) Again signs of exponential growth are nowhere to be seen. We'll see how many cases we get today in the UK, the country I use as the most reliable indicator cause they only post confirmed cases, but yesterday it was 8 cases only vs 16 next wednesday 654 cases confirmed as of June 1st, stil 0 deaths. It seems it's spreading quicker in France tho (Okay, the new 17 cases in France are a jump from Sunday 10 am to Wednesday 10 am, so a rough average of 6 per day) Edited June 2, 2022 by Miracle
Protocol Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 21 hours ago, Miracle said: Out of 132 cases in London residents, 111 come from men who are gay, bisexual or who've had sex with other men, 2 cases are in women and 19 in other men: some of them came from a trip to Nigeria. So short story, 84% of the cases in London are in homosexual guys and only 1,5% are in women, which makes me think a good portion of the men are lying about not sleeping with men or at least having some kind of very close contact with them cause this would men than in the London outbreak, "straight" men were almost 10 times as likely to get the rash than women. Data screams straight men not wanting to come out of the closet or cheating on their gfs and wives. So stigma and homophobia is, most likely, manipulating the data so far although it's positive that people see not only gay people can catch it. P.S.: Well the data doesn't really specify whether there's 111 cases in GBMSM out of the 132 London residents or out of every single case. If it's 111 out of 190, it means straight men are like 30 times more likely to catch it than straight women, so yeah, lots of straight bros lying about not having sexual contact with men Edit: Apparently just 5 cases today cause numbers have gone from 183 to 188 in England. That would be two (I think?, maybe it was four) cases less than the same day last weekend. Again, no signs of exponential growth in any of the three countries with the most monkeypox cases aka Portugal, UK and Spain. In the case of Spain and UK, a small decrease has been seen Monkeypox clocking the “down low discreet can’t send face pic” guys
Miracle Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 (edited) Cases announced in England last week: Monday: 36 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday cases) Tuesday: 14 Wednesday: 7 Thursday: 8 Cases announced in England this week Monday: 71 Tuesday: 11 Wednesday: 5 Thursday: 11 Past week: 65 cases This week: 98 cases Increase: x1,5. It's an increase, but it's not exponential. If we don't take into account the last weekend, which might have been the peak of the London outbreak Cases TWT last week: 29 Cases TWT this week: 27 Of course we can't be 100% sure, but it seems like the original outbreak has shown its peak and now it's stabilized or decreasing. This is a good sign cause it shows there's no signs of a big amount of infections out of the original break and their close contacts Not gonna do a day by day analysis of Spain but Week 1: 23 cases Week 2: 65 Week 3: 55 (until Thursday, number likely to be around 60-75) Spain could say the original outbreak has stopped growing and will probably stop growing anymore if contact tracing has been effective Edited June 2, 2022 by Miracle
Miracle Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 What I think we are seeing now, and we'll probably see during all this outbreak unless the way of transmission changed (which seems unlikely) is that, even if cases increase by a lot, a huge majority of those cases won't be from very long chains, more likely they will all be from the same event or from short chains of people outside of those events, mainly in the sexual chains, cause there's very few evidence of asymptomatic transmission and most people wouldn't have sex with other people if they had even a small fever, therefore keeping the possible infections inside sex clubs. Plus, some cases are developing rashes even before the fever or have rashes but no fever, this would mean that most of the cases will be contained whether the unhealthy sex community (chills, saunas, sex parties) cause anyone with a minimum of understanding would not go to sex parties with a genital rash, especially now that we can relate it to monkeypox. So, this is, based on the virus not showing any big changes in transmission so far, as the huge majority of the cases are in MSM or closeted MSM, is that Pride will most likely create new outbreaks, but they will still stay, for the most part, in Pride celebrations, especially after Pride sex club celebrations. The problem is that Pride worldwide will have tens of millions of people attending, with millions traveling and attending sex clubs, saun etc: that would definitely increase the number of cases by a lot but not because the regular person going to work, groceries and the train caught it there, but because of a high amount of dangerous sexual practices worldwide happening at similar times.
spree Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 I am so glad I'm in a loving, monogamous relationship. **** ya'll and this freaky ****. It's so cringe.
Miracle Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Just 2 new cases in Madrid announced today, plus 2 new cases in Andalusia, doubt the new cases of monkeypox today go beyond 6-7. This is very impressive considering Madrid and London have the biggest outbreaks of monkeypox, and they're announcing very few cases lately. The big city outbreaks have probably been contained, we'll have to check if new big outbreaks will be coming in the next months

Genius1111 Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 But in this current outbreak, many people's symptoms don't fit this profile at all, say Vinh and several doctors involved with these cases. For starters, the rash often isn't on the face or extremities at all. Instead, it typically begins on the genitals or the anus. And sometimes it doesn't spread to other parts of the body. "You don't have head-to-toe skin pox lesions," Vinh says. "Instead it's localized to just one region of the body, like the genital regions. And some people have just one or two pox. So it's not numerous." "Sometimes it's not even a pox," he says, "but rather an ulcer or a crater."
