charts discussion BB YEC'22 @ 50%: #1 EOM, #2 HW, #3 Stay, Ed 2x top10, Doja 3x top25

- Heat Waves and Stay will both bypass EOM in the very near future (3-5 weeks)

- Songs in top 20 that may get 0 point update after this week due to album bombs: EOM, NTK, IB, abcdefu, g4u

- It's unlikely that a new song can end up @ #1 on the chart at this point. The list we have right here are all the possible #1s we'll get.

I forgot about it, because it's not even on the YEC rn tbh 5-10 will be super close in point so i won't be surprised if First Class snatches the last slot in top 5 and Wait For U taking another slot in top 10. In order for WFU to get into top 5 it needs better longevity than FC.

The fact STAY is a contender for #1, c'mon y'all. That damn radio better start dropping it more, ridiculous it's getting even more airplay than HW right now, like wtf, die b*tch.

 

Ngl but "Shivers" ending in the Top 10 is going to be a big surprise to me.

EOM will probably end at #5 at worse which is still nice. HW has that #1 on lock at this point, Stay will probably end.

 

I think BH may miss the top 10 if Ghost remains steady and Big Energy & Enemy remain strong too, also As It Was is coming.

Adele NO USA promo or any LIVE APPEARANCE or LIVE SHOW during 2022 did that

This year's YEC top 10's most interesting fight will probably be for the #3 spot between EOM and AIW, with 3.5k points difference, or 152 points weekly for the next 23 weeks. AIW will most likely do another 2-3 weeks at 300 points, this should be easy for him.

 

The top 10 will look like this 

1. Heat Waves
2. Stay
3. AIW

4. EOM

locked for top 10: Shivers, Super Gremlin, Bad Habits, Cold Heart, Ghost

the last slot in the top 10 will probably be Big Energy.

 

First Class (airplay has peaked) and Wait For U (weak airplay) would probably unfortunately end outside of top 10.

Heat Waves will definitely end up being #1. Kind of a weird #1 on the YEC, but very symbolic of the current trend of old songs smashing way later on (2020 is old to be #1 on the 2022 YEC), so a bit appropriate. 
 

The current Top 10 is pretty ****.

I don't subscribe to this idea that Adele/EOM were fads this era, but BB YEC counts a few weeks from 2021 when EOM was still huge.
