A 3, 4 year break will give her time to find new inspirations, have more stories to tell with her music and will get people hyped as it will be her first actual *comeback* album.

4 years is FAR too long, even 3 years is pushing it.

 

In the streaming era it should be 2.5 years max.

I'm fairly sure she has recorded atleast some music. Otherwise we wouldn't have had Nile Rodgers come out saying he had worked with her. Maybe she didn't like the material which is why she didn't push through on an actual album but there are definitely some songs sitting in the vault there

Idk if it's the same where you live but the weather is starting to get nicer in a lot of places. Spending some time outside can be a good thing. 

 

OT: I'm ok with this if it means she comes back refreshed, recharged, and ready to give us a proper era. I'd rather she not force an album out if she isn't feeling creatively inspired.
