I'll make something and forget about it for two, three days and go back to evaluate how good it really is Expand I have a similar experience with writing tbh, I’ll write something in the moment and then have no idea if it’s good or not, and then have to read it back the next day to actually form an opinion What I have found, at least in my own cases, is that usually you don’t have any reason to doubt yourself and the majority of the time you will still like it

You wouldn't be able to know the actual pitch of the notes and the elongation of vowel sounds in the melody from just the words themselves, unless there is a recording of it being sung. Expand No, we don’t judge the melody at all because unless there is a recording of the song sent along with it, then it is just us assuming what the melody is; and that is the case the majority of the time. We only judge the lyrical content and the entries relevancy to the challenge (one of my biggest critiques last round was that many of the entries could’ve incorporated elements further).
