This is lowkey true, I smell the candles the first couple times and it's breathtaking but then I keep smelling and it's like my nostrils sucked up all the scent. It smells like a mix of nothing, plastic and nothing

 

There are also times that the first couple times the candles smell like nothing and I really have to sniff them to get anything out of it.

 

I remember sniffing flowers outside and there was literally NO SMELL. Like... these are real flowers growing outside, but they were serving FAKE. It's happened quite a few times to me.

Yay! I kind of have more song ideas for other artists like Carly Rae Jepsen but I want to listen to the artist I'm writing for this round and SISTAR's discography has me in a chokehold. I'm only listening to their title tracks as well I'm kind of scared at what kind of slayage their B-sides have.

 

For SISTAR I'm not really in the mood to write a super sexual/sensual song. Thankfully their songs aren't too obviously sexual/sensual. 50% of their songs are more sensual, while the other 50% are more summery/exciting. So I'll see what happens

 

It's kind of nice that at least one of the judges is familiar with them!

I was kind of thinking I'm picking fromis_9 too, their euphoric bops! But I really can't stop listening to SISTAR. It would confuse me trying to write a song for another artist while listening to the slayage that is Touch My Body.

Don't have high expectations.  It's one of the six Evanescence songs I'm listening to, but have also gotten very distracted by how good the songs are. Amy Lee is a belting queen. I finished my draft though, so we'll see!

Anyone familiar with SISTAR I'm definitely going for a more Touch My Body/Loving U/I Swear/SHAKE IT and Hyolyn's solo SEE SEA vibe than their more sultry songs. I'm so hyped!

 

Round 1 was fun for me creating the fantasy world but I wouldn't say Skydiving Raindrops of Honey is "fun, lighthearted, poppy" even though it's not serious or emotional either. This time I'm really gonna have fun writing a K-Pop hit. This is something I've been wanting to do for a while!

 

Skydiving Raindrops of Honey was highly conceptual It was kind of tiring sticking to that, so I'm ready to just let loose and write a BOP I won't have to be really conceptual with the song this time.

Listening to SISTAR's songs of slayage and writing a song "for" them at the same time, ah!

 

 

For future rounds I might pretend like I'm writing songs for other artists too - it's so stimulating creatively.

 

I've typically written more imagery-based songs, so to write something with catchy hooks is so freeing. I love it!
