Taylor fanboy
With Taylor Swift’s 2019 Lover B-Side, “Only The Young” gaining major Spotify traction in Philippines, after a disastrous election results, where the late evil Filipino dictator’s son, would surely take office as the President, do you think the “Purposeful Pop” songs last decade would last, and be remembered? Dystopian
this was the worst time for pop music, like every album released in 2016/17 had some political message in it

youngpopariana
No because the 10s didn’t give us Demi’s political anti Trump purposeful pop pinnacle anthem ‘Commander In Chief’ co-penned by Finneas. The 20s did

BrokenMachine
In retrospective is pretty suspicious how almost every pop girl went for an anti-Trump message in their songs. I mean, he deserved all the lashings, but Biden does it too, but since he isn't Trump somehow they don't care now. I guess the fact Hilary was besties with almost all of Hollywood played a part of it, without sounding too conspiranoic.
