She opens the door for those alt artist only for them to win Grammy first, but as time had proven, her albums are classic and remembered by the GP.Β

If we're talking strictly about the albums, then yes.Β

However, Billie was undeniable in 2019. WWAFA era was larger than life & she became a cultural phenomenon, so she was definitely a deserving winner all things considered.Β

No. It deserved what it got: nothing. WWAFAWDWG is superior and rightfully won. Lover was also an acceptable candidate for AOTY.:giraffe:

Billie deserved AOTY, but not SOTY. ROTY is debatable.Β

Yup, it's Jack Anonoff third best album after folklore and Melodrama

Quality-wise yes. But WWAFA was more well rounded: it had outstanding acclaim, outstanding commercial pull and outstanding impact, it lived up to the Album of the Year title.

Almost no album hasΒ everΒ deserved it more than NFR! did. Literal robbery.

BeyoncΓ© losing for Self-titled and Lemonade was much more outrageous than NRF!

Yes, it was truly the best album released that year with new artistic highs for Lana that I never saw her reaching. Only time will prove that it deserved the win.

Absolutely. The music industry just needed a savior to hype up and it happened to be Billie but time is the ultimate truth teller and we all saw how she fared with the follow up.Β

When We All Fall Asleep did deserve based on its innovation and immediate impact in the musical landscape. NFR! would've been a worthy winner too though and an acknowledgement of another very important and influential artist who also helped redefine what a pop star could be.
