No one comes close to Taylor in the US. OT - Benito winner

And lets not even get started on touring Gaga's peak overall in the US (The Fame -> The Fame Monster, 2009 - 2010) was easily bigger than Taylor's peak and don't let me get started WW... Yes, but the fact that a Latin artist can accumulate more streams in the US with an album completely in Spanish is a massive feat.
suneclipse121 Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Maybe they need to rework the stream per unit formula… I agree if you your doing 100+ million streams then your equivalent units should be up there there. Not a measly 200k ?

Insanely wrong But yes absolutely massive for Bad Bunny. Good for him. Maybe he can finally make the IFPI top 10 this year. Don't think I've heard a song from him, but his album titles are always funny

Yes, glad latin artists are finding major success in the US, finally
Theshigo Washidu Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 I swear it's like everyday Bad Bunny has an album out.

He is coming to top Taylor's biggest week streaming-wise and therefore officially become bigger than her in the US aswell She outstreams Bad Bunny in almost every single week in US for the past 5 years, and will continue to outstream him after 1-2 weeks. They both are approximately 5-6 times bigger than Gaga ever was so there is really no competition here
Ribs Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 This Love (an 8 year old album track) re-release doing 5 TIMES better than the 'highly anticipated' ga ga playlisted single really did a number on liddos OT: Bad Bunny, the male music industry.

Brando Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Record breaking streaming numbers but only ~250k sales. BB needs to increase their streaming to sales ratios. It's painfully low and doesn't reflect the popularity of current artists compared to previous eras.

Some can't even get past 90M

You could have an album debuting lower but it made 2-3 times more profit than that #1 album. They need to recalibrate that formula asap.

Kamil24 Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 I've never heard of this Jack person so over 100K seems excellent tbh.
