Taylor Swift - "This Love (Taylor's Version)"

Not the IKP slander when it's among one of the most interesting songs in Taylor's discog and a highlight on 1989.

WTNY, AYHTDWS, and This Love are the weakest songs on the album.

She really did massive improvement in the use of her vocal instrument. Listened to this and then the original, where she almost sounds a little pitchy in the chorus delivering the falsetto.

And the song is gorgeous! I'm always suspicious approaching her old catalog, but I look forward to find other hidden gems like this one, with beautiful melody, less sugary, cheeky lyrics and more interesting arrangement. Imma need some unbiased Swifties to guide me.

Effortlessly charting on Spotify! Not everyone has that.

the truth is there's no bad songs on 1989 you're all just grasping at straws :celestial3:

WTNY, BB, and IKP are objectively the trinity of weak links on 1989, all are cute girls, but cute next to gorgeous...

Not all of y'all being ATROCIOUSLY wrong in these 1989 takes :deadbanana2:

AYHTDWS is a cute bop with a nice hook, Shake It Off is immaculately and intricately layered and produced (and was her biggest hit for a reason), IWYW is fast paced and fun, Bad Blood is good in the gym and the Kendrick verses are pretty good, This Love is clearly a smash and a strong song, and I Know Places is a career highlight that all the other girls wish they had made.

Fight the REAL enemy. How You Make **** Music is truly the blandest song in Taylor's career. It's so vacant and filler-y that there's nothing about it to hate. The lyrics are stupid for a Taylor song, the production is the most generic Max Martin dance pop we've seen in Taylor's entire career (alongside MIAB I guess). It's a drag on the quality of the album, and all of my sistren still capable in their hearing will recognize how bad the song is. For those of you deluded into liking it, I'm so sorry you have to live that way and I'm praying you realize how wrong you are.

Thank goodness there's just the one BOMB on 1989 though and all of the other tracks have at least a few redeeming qualities :gaylorcat2:

Finally some taste :gaylorcat2:

OT: This Love getting her moment is a dream. Clean next, thank you!

I'm kind of living for all the 1989 hottakes. You know you have a memorable album when fans are still debating the best tracks :jamming:

That being said, I Know Places is underrated, Shake It Off (while not my favorite) is overhated, and Style remains the smash that got away (should've been the biggest single from the era in my opinion). Also, I Wish God Would is a holy hymnal and that's that on that

Yeah How You Write A Bad Song is clearly the worst track on 1989. Probably one of her worst ever. :gaycat6:

This is the right take :clap3:

How You Lose The Grammy deserved to rot in the vault and whoever told Taylor to put it on the album clearly hated her and wanted the album to flop :rip:

1939 doesn’t have anything offensively bad but it has quite a few songs that don’t add much to her discography. I Wish You Would (release a better song) is the definition of filler

The lack of taste in here with the IKP slander, it's definitely one of the more interesting songs on 1989. It's for intellectuals ig

Disliking IKP does not mean we like HYGTG and Bad Blood :swan:

This Love, you're doing good sweetie

Yeah idk how it made the standard over any of the deluxe tracks. And I can't imagine the vault songs being any worse. :gaycat6:

1989 and reputation vault tracks are the ones I'm most excited about :jonny5:I can't even imagine what pop-perfection lies ahead of us sisterens. This Love and Wildest Dreams have proven 1989 is in good hands in my opinion, and I'm ready to experience this collapse of a pop BIBLE all over again

Not everyone in here naming tracks on 1989 that aren’t Bad Blood as the skip(s). :rip: 1989 is literally flaw free except BB.

Bad Blood is a bop :michael: it's a surefire single that every artist wish to have even Taylor herself now

Of all the songs you chose a top 5 off the album? Really? BB/SIO/IKP/NR... exist :sistrens:

Why do so many people hate I Know Places, it's been in my top 5 for years :deadbanana2:

Have yall streamed this masterpiece 20 times today? :eli:

I Wish You Would is VERY good, an actual 80s synthpop excellence fitting of the vision Taylor wants for 1989 (Jack understood the assignment). Enough of the slander.
