Yeah, it is kind of strange that Fearless turned out the way it did. I feel kind of guilty in the sense that I didn't really start stanning Taylor until after the 1989 era was like wrapping up I had a piece of **** boyfriend at the time and bought 1989 on a whim over a year after it was released and I've been a stan ever since

So I'm really not familiar with Fearless or TS at all so the re-recordings of those two in particular were my most anticipated and because I didn't have any previous notions or attachments I feel like this whole re-recording endeavor was made for me :dies:

 That’s how I felt when I became a fan of TS (self titled) at the tail end of the era. I heard Should’ve Said No randomly play on the radio and I was like, oh wow, this is catchy. Then I heard Teardrops on pop radio, instantly liking it, but not realizing it was by the same artist. So I pirated the debut album but was like “what is this hillbilly trashhhhhh.” I deleted the whole album but her melodies got stuck in my head. I gave the album another chance and grew to love it. THEN, Beautiful Eyes came out immediately a few weeks after I became a fan. By this point, I was already learning her songs on guitar. And THEN, Fearless was announced. The 1-2-3 punches was what sealed me in as a fan forever. Her music spread like wildfire in my heart in such a short length of time. The way she kept releasing quality after quality was also a shock. It was refreshing to see a REAL artist with REAL lyrics and a true connection with her fans. She’s truly unmatched.

This Love (Karaoke Versión) is #1 in Mexico instead of this ? people is dmb as ***

It's very obviously a glitch sis. The same thing happened with Wildest Dreams TV. And the karaoke thing has been a long known glitch and they've yet to fix it on AM. :gaycat6:

iTunes combines all the versions. the same happened to Wildest Dreams until they fixed it

The production/music sounds low compared to the original.

I agree. Everything about Red TV is a huge upgrade except the Max Martin singles nnnnnn. Not sure what happened there. Lol.

Fearless TV was obviously a rushed job. I’m kind of upset how dirty they did that album considering how acclaimed it is. At least 1989 is being taken seriously. This Love and Wildest Dreams TV are phenomenal.

thank God she used her worst album as the sacrificial lamb and not sacRED or Speak Now or even 1989 :fan:

She completely transformed an already good song into an ethereal experience with a few tweaks. Really big improvement.

the one thing that slightly worried me is that Taylor’s deeper vocals won’t suit the upbeat pop songs (particularly the singles) on 1989. Shake It Off, Blank Space and Style are going to be so hard to get right.

I can’t stop listening :gaycat6:

What am I gonna do when we get Clean TV, it’s already her best song ever and you just know she’s gonna improve it somehow :gaycat6:

She has ended me I fear :gaycat6:

This is cute, her pronunciation is better than on the original which is good, but it does mean that it loses some of the dreamy quality of the original. The drums might be a tad too forward in the mix in comparison to the original but it's not significant enough to make a huge difference.

it sounds... choppy?

Nnnn, this lie.

How in the world is the vocal production on State of Grace, Treacherous, Begin Again, All Too Well (both versions) 'very poor'? I'm sorry, but there are multiple instances in which the vocal production has become stronger. There isn't nearly as much pitch correction, her lower register has become richer, her vowels are clearer, and the control over her vibratto on elongated notes and belts has improved exponentially. And that's just the vocal delivery, the production is now a focal point, better mixed in relation to the instrumental melodies, and captures her live tendencies in a way that her early studio efforts did not.

It's one thing to say you prefer the originals but anyone claiming the vocal production on every song is 'very poor' has no understanding of vocal production or music production as a whole :toofunny2:

well said :clap3:

both This Love and Wildest Dreams TV sound BETTER

i don't know how to feel about this yet. This Love is Top 3 in 1989 :dancehall:

the production isn't as bad as Wildest Dreams (TV) tho. so Style (TV) has a chance :dancehall:

This is saur good omg :jonny5: I cannot wait for the rest of 1989 TV and this in particular has made me even more intrigued to hear Haunted TV

Also those nitpicking the re-recordings seem to be looking for something to complain about because only on this site will you find someone complaining about the tiniest details. So far, all the of them have sounded fine. No one outside of here has had an issue with the Max songs on Red TV. Fearless TV sounded like a huge upgrade and Wildest Dreams and This Love TV sound better than their OGs

Stand by my opinion that this is a boring ass song. AYHTDWS or Wonderland deserved.

This is MILES better than WDTV! It's one of the best re-recordings so far, I would even go as far as saying it's top 5. It's almost identical to the original. Not only in terms of production, but also vocally, this is a huge improvement over the pop songs on Red and WDTV.

I actually like that the drums are more pronounced. Unlike WDTV, which was missing the verve the original had, this is far superior both vocally and production wise. It sounds dreamier than the original version.

Her vocals are definitely higher in the mix compared to the original, which was expected given that both Fearless and Red TV had the same issue. But I must admit that altered mixing actually made the song better this time around. It's not like Wildest Dreams TV, which upon hearing the first time, all I could think of was "Why the f*** is she this loud?????"

Some of y’all are doing the absolute most with WDTV, and it’s just so unnecessary. It sounds 1:1 nearly identical to the original. The production is amazing on it and so are her vocals - yeah they’re slightly louder - so what? It’s nowhere near catastrophic as some of y’all are making it to be.

TL (stolen) is indeed better than (TV), but you can't make this song bad if you tried.

The LOONIES who ever said This Love is bad, let alone the worst on 1989... Seek help!

I love this! <3

:rip: FFS i just want the rerecording era to be over so i can stop seeing people complain about some minor detail being 1% different from the original :hoetenks: Happens in every single TV related thread :jonny2:
