xXavril Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 This was never one of my favorites but the production in TV sounds so fresh, those drums during the second verse, the vocal production. release 1989!!!

diamondsky Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 the shameless lack of taste, slandering this solo self-penned hymn when it's one of the best tracks on 1989 the rerecorded vocals sound so ethereal
Shinning Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Not the worst song on the album. And it's just as boring as it was back then too. A song written about Lena Dunham and her boyfriend would never be inspired.
Junlin Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 (edited) This is so good interesting it was a skip years ago. Edited May 6, 2022 by Junlin

This Love is definitely about Harry, it was the first song written for the album, probably right after Red was released when they were dating (they met in spring 2012 but didn't date until the fall).
Anna-Artdeco Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 NOT 19 PAGES FOR A RE-RECORDED SONG People are so damn thirsty for Taylor content
KeshaSwift Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 This is one of her best songs, and the rework of it didn't dissapoint. I LOVE the artwork too.

The vocal production in every tv is very poor. Nnnn, this lie. How in the world is the vocal production on State of Grace, Treacherous, Begin Again, All Too Well (both versions) 'very poor'? I'm sorry, but there are multiple instances in which the vocal production has become stronger. There isn't nearly as much pitch correction, her lower register has become richer, her vowels are clearer, and the control over her vibratto on elongated notes and belts has improved exponentially. And that's just the vocal delivery, the production is now a focal point, better mixed in relation to the instrumental melodies, and captures her live tendencies in a way that her early studio efforts did not. It's one thing to say you prefer the originals but anyone claiming the vocal production on every song is 'very poor' has no understanding of vocal production or music production as a whole

Oh. Yeah I think I'm confusing it. They're both kinda boring but YAIL is even worse. If she wanted to release a ballad why couldn't it have been Clean?

ATRL Moderator feelslikeadream Posted May 6, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted May 6, 2022 (edited) Shocked by some users saying it sounds identical; this is probably the most changed of the TV "singles" tbh. The new reverb/echo vocals in verses, the drum being so prominent, the louder synth in chorus, the less squeaky vocals in the bridge.... So different. And still so beautiful Edited May 6, 2022 by feelslikeadream

In the original this love there are layers of vocals. The new one sounds like a live performance.

Everything about Red TV is a huge upgrade except the Max Martin singles nnnnnn. Not sure what happened there. Lol. Fearless TV was obviously a rushed job. I’m kind of upset how dirty they did that album considering how acclaimed it is. At least 1989 is being taken seriously. This Love and Wildest Dreams TV are phenomenal.

This Love and Wildest Dreams TV are phenomenal. Yeah, it is kind of strange that Fearless turned out the way it did. I feel kind of guilty in the sense that I didn't really start stanning Taylor until after the 1989 era was like wrapping up I had a piece of **** boyfriend at the time and bought 1989 on a whim over a year after it was released and I've been a stan ever since So I'm really not familiar with Fearless or TS at all so the re-recordings of those two in particular were my most anticipated and because I didn't have any previous notions or attachments I feel like this whole re-recording endeavor was made for me
unclefloprry Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Nobody is buying this lmao This Love (Karaoke Versión) is #1 in Mexico instead of this ? people is dmb as ***
saintspice Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 the vocal mixing definitely sounds different. the “this loooove” in the background from the bridge to the end of the song sound more prominent which i love cuz that’s the best part of the song
