Severus Snape Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 This is on track to be a positive re-experience. Fearless TV and RED TV were not it from a vocal stand point. She was trying to sound like a 20 year old as a 33yo woman. This sounds so much on par with folklore-evermore-Lover mature vocals WD still sounds a bit too metallic and cold but This Love is a step in the right direction!
TaylorNation Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 it sounds great, and works really well as a dreamy EP with Wildest Dreams but we do not need This Bore, we need a TV announcement (or Enchanted TV months ago)
BloodLuster Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 really liked it and prob my fav TV song so far but I'm not feeling those layered vocals during the bridge... and that cover fits 1989 really good and would be a nice update.
lenchen. Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 can we officially declare nathan chapman as the biggest loser of the re-recordings

Anyway, what a stunning song, will always be one of my favourites of her catalogue! Literally don't get this when How You Get the Girl, Shake It Off, Bad Blood, and Welcome to New York exist
Hephaestus Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 I was so hyped about Doctor Strange yesterday that I completely missed the announcement This Love is not one of my favorite songs from 1989 so I'm not that excited for its TV, but it's a good song nonetheless and something to be excited about since Taylor isn't very active lately. It's good because it sounds very similar to the original version, with just the right amount of additions to make it feel like an enhanced version. I'm excited for the 1989 (TV), especially the vault tracks, but I just hope she won't butcher the singles like she did with Red (TV)
Pop Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Can the good sis announce 1989 TV already? It's getting tiring.
Digitalism Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 This is one of the songs that benefits from her mature vocals I'm still scared about the 1989 singles which have more childish vocals since 22 was ruined
Cleanromantic Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 The way she used the "he loves me... He loves me not" rhyme is so genius . This love is good This love is bad This love is alive back from the dead These hands had to let it go free This love came back to me
Everyperfectsummer Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 This is better than the original, why did she destroy classics like You Belong With Me or We Are Never Getting Back Together but put so much effort and care into this skip?

Because this song was very easy to replicate. However, the original is much better. The vocal production in every tv is very poor.

Bosque Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Not people saying this song is a filler. You don’t have to show everyone your lack of taste.
lovethismusic Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 I have always loved this song and the TV made me love it 823489 times more. Didn't know that was possible.
