I mean I’ll hold out for full judgement when it drops here soon but that snippet did not sound good

I fear the classics just aren’t meant to be remade

A bad classic, sure.

The original song is awful

The single mix is even worse.

At least the production on this new version sounds updated and less childish, and the vocals are waaaaay better.

Their latest album is the way to go

It's their best album.

After that, go for their compilation album "We Don't Stop" which is a compilation of the two EPs and their two standalone singles that they released during 2017 and 2020 between their 10 years "hiatus" as Aly & AJ (not counting their shelved album as 78Violet which was leaked and then released as a Fan Club exclusive) and their long awaited latest album "A Touch of the Beat..." which took them 14 years to release.

Once you are done, you are free to check their first two albums "Into the Rush" and "Insomniatic".

You are in for a treat.

And I hope you get destroyed by "Stomach" aka the best song on the album.

The Twitter video might have worsened the quality tbh but nothing but improvements were made to this re-recording.

Not people acting like the original was some masterpiece :rip: they may be incapable of making a truly bad song but they have had their duds let's be real Like Whoa was always one of them

It's amazing how that song has appeared in some for during or after each album released so far:

Into the Rush = original Chemicals React as the main single of the deluxe edition

Insomniatic = remix as a bonus track

A Touch of the Beat = rerecording as a droplet during the Era tour

There's nothing Whoa about it anymore :deadbanana4:

I get not wanting to sound like Disney Pop Princesses

I guess.

omg it's amazing

You forgot the iconic simlish version :cm:

Are they about to remaster Insomniatic in the end? I think I'm ready since it's one of their best album :jonny:

Oh wow. This is great.
I feel life was given to it now. The bridge is IT. Such a groove now.
if they did this version on tour, I’d LIVE.

bleh… idk, i like the original better. the vocals on this one don’t sound as clean. in the new version, it’s kinda flat e every time they say “woah” and it bothers me. they also sound a bit bored here… idk maybe it’ll grow on me.

The original remains superior

This is how I feel tbh.

This ‘remaster’ doesn’t sound as good as the original and neither did Potential Breakup Song.

I used to listen to Insomniatic all the time, so I don’t think I’ll ever be able to truly enjoy these remakes. They’re just missing the spark.
