Well.. Aside from Gaga coming to Asia this year to do two stadium shows, Chartmasters actually has Gaga at 1m units more sold than Taylor in Asia. Also she had a recent top 10 in hit in Japan that made the YEC and scanned gold. AP her underperformance album is also platinum in Japan. She is not as big there as she was 09-13 of course, and taylor is massive on streaming where as Gaga struggles.

 

Still, two respected influential talented legends, a lot of the girls kii-kiiing behind the swifties skirts will never see that level for their fave

This is only because they downweighted Chinese sales so heavily and haven't updated either Taylor or Gaga's page since they changed that, not to mention that CM doesn't collect any data from countries like the Philippines, Malaysia, or Indonesia where Taylor is huge.

 

As for the rest of your post, Taylor also does at least 2 stadium shows in Japan when she tours, except she plays the Tokyo Dome which has a much larger capacity than where Gaga is playing this year 

 

I'll grant you the recent top 10 hit in Japan, but that's only in the one market, and one where Taylor does relatively poorly at that. 

 

Agreed that both are respected, influential, and talented legends and that a lot of the girls that support... lesser... artists use Taylor to drag Gaga cause their fave either never could or hasn't done numbers like that in a long time

Japan =/= 48+ countries in Asia

And Chartmasters only tracks sales/units from basically South Korea and Japan so Taylor - who's biggest markets are China and SEA countries - being 1m units behind is not really impressive.

i don’t know all of the Asia stats I do know Taylor is big there, I just looked on ChartMasters I saw Asia. I mean whilst stans of girls who dance  on IG in front of dog sh*t use this is an excuse to attack, Gaga and Taylor’s latest albums charted for over 20 weeks in Japan and peaked in the top 3 no other current MPG over a decade into their career could still do that there currently. Being able to crack a country in 3 continents is impressive.

Yes, Gaga's third and Taylor's sixth best performing records were at similar numbers a year and a half ago 

 

When this updates and Reputation finally gets the 1M Chinese units that CM hasn't included, that will change, but for now they sure do look similar
