allforyou Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 I don't understand this, I thought she was already included in them
Severus Snape Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Performative nonbinarism at its finest. I could see it since the beginning. Its totally transphobic in my opinion and a disrespect to those who actually struggle
getBusy Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 If they/them are listed first, wouldn't that mean they prefer those instead of she/her? Or is that not how it works?
Bloodflowers. Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 At least half of ATRL won't receive WPs anymore they are so kind
brraap Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 How can she be a they/them and a she/her at the same time
DoubleRainbow! Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 aren't non-binary people allowed to be called whatever they want?

Brando Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 never called her "they". never will. i'm glad i won't need to avoid pronouns when talking about her anymore
Grumpy Cat Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 idgi so just to be clear- its not a mistake to call demi -she or they now? im confused tbh. no shade or anything, just confused about the pronounces

Similar to Halsey and Kehlani, who also identify with both. Edited April 28, 2022 by thatsmydemi
NausAllien Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 I tried to make an effort an always refer to Demi using their preferred pronouns, but it was REALLY hard. At least now we have the option to use either set of pronouns. I'm not going to say Demi coming out as nonbinary was performative, but maybe it wasn't something she didn't think through? Just because you have short hair, it doesn't mean you're nonbinary, right? I almost feel like anyone who doesn't fit neatly into the stereotypical male and female ideals are pushed to label themselves as nonbinary. What happened to being gender nonconforming?
