Marriage is great for tax purposes, and legal reasons. You pay more in taxes as a single person than as a couple. Plus if your significant other dies or something happens since you’re not the immediate family you could be skipped over. That’s one of the many reasons gays tried to get gay marriage legalized. Among other things of course.
