Has your fav been deemed impactful enough by Apple Music to have an Inspired By playlist?

Britney has.

On hers we have some of ATRL's favs such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Kesha, Charli XCX, Nicki Minaj and many more, indicating all of these artists were Inspired By Britney Spears.

So does your fav have one of these playlists? Who is on it?

Taylor has one but I think it’s kind of skewed incorrectly because it lists Katy, Carly, Miley, and Bieber as her influencees even though they are moreso her contemporaries :rip:

They need to change it to Maren, Kelsea, Lennon Stella, Olivia Rodrigo, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, etc.

Lady Gaga's outlandish pop has inspired a slew of upstarts. While artists like Ellie Goulding and Icona Pop have followed the Mother Monster's lead in fusing the beats and breaks of European club music with radio-ready hooks, others—such as Sia and Marina and The Diamonds—have likewise brought together eye-popping visuals with emotionally charged songs to create fully realized pop personas.

Coldplay made wearing your heart on your sleeve cool again, blasting down the door for new and unique artists. Snow Patrol's stark guitars and strong beat (“Run”) echo the band's earlier tendency toward tightly orchestrated rock, while the alternating pianos and lofty guitar lines of The Script's “Superheroes” seek to “turn that pain into power,” a deep undercurrent throughout the music of Coldplay.

Artists: The Script, Editors, Imagine Dragons, Snow Patrol, Travis, The Fray, Florence + The Machine, Elbow, OneRepublic, The Killers, Muse, Maroon 5, James Blunt, Keane and Bastille.

Some of these are right, others were pulled from Apple Music's a**. The lack of solo artists is weird considering they've been cited as an inspiration from people like Ed Sheeran to H.E.R.

Ask any current young popstar who inspired them, and chances are you'll get one answer, and one answer only: Britney Spears. The epitome of the American girl next door, the multiple chart topper has dominated the pop landscape since the late '90s. She's influenced everybody from her little sister to Charli XCX, to Girls Aloud and Lady Gaga.

It’s Britney, b*tch

Beyoncé's torrid 21st-century run has had ripple effects across pop music. Frank Ocean and B's sister Solange are, like Beyoncé, auteurs whose expansive musical palettes are rooted in R&B; balladeers like Sam Smith and Adele have looked to Beyoncé's interpretative skill; and up-and-comers like SZA and Tinashe have emulated Beyoncé's early-career self-assuredness on their way to soul stardom.

Featuring artists like Gaga, Ariana, Rihanna and Adele :giraffe:

Yeah, there are lots of indie-pop girls who cite her as an influence too, and none of them are there either. Very weird collection of people included.

What an impressive list of high-caliber acts. :clap3:

The only modern acts I can see missing from the playlist are Chlöe ("Have Mercy"), Normani ("Motivation"), Stan Walker*, Chloe x Halle ("Down", "Don't Make It Harder On Me"), Little Mix ("Salute"), Jordan Sparks ("I Am Woman"), Panic! At The Disco ("High Hopes"), Hamilton ("Helpless"), and Alexandra Burke.

*BTW Get Into Stan Walker, this TALENTED Beyoncé SuperFan (and B tour opener) from Australia:
