ksmith Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 I'm not being a hater I swear. I know Cynthia can sing and act and I very much realize this is a leaked audio snippet. But so far, I'm not entirely convinced on her as Elphie. The "we can't all come and go by bubble" line delivery was NOT it and I am not a fan of her final DG riff at all. Particularly the very beginning of it, just sounded like yelling. I have high hopes for this and care very much which is probably why I'm hyper critical. What's funny is before I was worried about Ariana and now it's kind of the opposite. Either way though I know how great of an actress Cynthia is so I know she'll bring it. Just still...cautious at this point.

I’m of two minds about the riff, I think Cynthia needed to differentiate her vocal performance for it to feel unique, but it’s so iconic and has been recreated en mass for the past twenty years by actors and fans alike, it might just be one of those things that’s always inherently polarizing.
