tiagol88 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 I was just thinking how most acts we stan either have peaked years ago, or have peaked more recently... I mean, let's see: Adele - No way is she ever topping 20 or even 25. Taylor - Peaked in 2014/2015 with 1989. May get the occasional hit but her commercial peak has happened already. Her fanbase will always get her those #1 albums and record breaking tours. Camila - Well...she was never huge to begin with but these past few weeks have been very telling, imo. Ariana - Thank You,Next was most likely her peak. Positions was already weaker...could she re-peak and have her biggest era ever yet? Rihanna - She basically retired, doesn't care for this anymore. Peaked around Loud, Talk That Talk eras. (over 10 years ago) The rest of the entire generation from the 00's stars that i haven't mention won't peak during their 30's or 40's (Britney, Bey, P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Nelly Furtado, etc) so i won't mention any more of them. I'm not shading for any of the girls i mentioned so far btw...but some had such huge peaks that it will be impossible to repeat or surpass. Who do you think from these current acts that we now know still have the change of peaking? Dua Lipa - could be a contender...she surprised everyone with her 2nd era and her performing skills are clearly improving so much. I feel she won't let anyone breath when she releases her 3rd album. Could she have an even bigger era next? Doja Cat - I feel like whatever she releases next will be huge. If she plays her cards right she can still grow so much as an artist and this definitely doesn't feel like her peak. Lil Nas X - He's clearly developing his career and he is so outside of the box...like no one expected the Old Town Road guy to have a career progression like he had so far. I still remember ATRL saying he'd be a one hit wonder (even tho Panini is 6 x Platinum ) and he's already having a 3rd one this current era. His 2nd single lasted forever as well Is there anyone else? I honestly feel the streaming era made everything so unpredictable...

Saintlor Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Halsey could peak if she gets the material right for her next album But maybe her moment passed in 2018
Nico Robin Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Dua is having her TFM/TD/1989 era next I fear with multiple top10 (let‘s hope for some #1‘s too), bigger sales (overall and first week) and maybe an even bigger tour. I actually agree with everything said in the OP Rooting for Doja, Dua and Montero
katara Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Dua and Doja haven't had their imperial phases quite yet. Olivia could also surpass Sour depending on the quality and catchiness of her next record.
Solgayleo Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Harry styles has yet to peak. We will see how the rest of Harry’s House turns out, but he is one of the few mainstream musicians that seems genuinely loved by everyone. His next album is only gonna be bigger. Other good examples are Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, and Ariana (although TUN could very well end up being her peak, I think she has one more huge era in her if she can make something with higher quality than Positions)

It still was her peak though, in terms of singles performance, album sales, critical acclaim, and touring, so that's something.
Velvet Night Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Olivia, Dua and Doja haven’t peaked yet imo. I think both Dua and Doja will peak with their next era. Olivia has to establish herself first with her next album before she will peak with her third or fourth album. Ariana could have another peak but only if she switches up her sound and image. If she serves another positions, she will decline.
Beyonnaise Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 I don't see Olivia outdoing Sour. It will be 10x platinum SPS with two massive #1s and two Grammys. I think this was her "big" moment.
mxoonlight Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 TUN was Ariana’s peak and I thought everyone agreed to this but anything to expose lack of taste/shade positions I fear It still feels like the best is yet to come with Doja and Dua. Harry is approaching his commercial peak it feels like as the previous male pop stats are kind of being cast aside. Billie and Olivia have already had really massive eras that’d be hard to top but both are still ridiculously young so it’s hard to say for sure. LNX peaked with Old Town Road but that’s not a discredit to him, it’d be hard to get a hit that massive for anyone.
BuzzCharts Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Olivia, Doja, Lil Nas X all have bigger eras ahead of them.

OT: i think the one i'm most sure of is Doja. this era for her is smashing SMASHING but not the initial kind of smash. now that she's huge, it means she'll be capable of initial smash. her next era is bound to be even bigger
Totami Legend Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Ava can only grow from here. Olivia perhaps? Her will lead will be huge. Billie with a pop rock / darker era. Charli XCX is peaking right now, this was her most gp friendly project ever.

UnusualBoy Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Probably the girls that are killing it right now like Olivia, Dua and Doja, however the thing is that their current eras are HUGE so it'll be hard to for them to top them, especially on longevity.
