No ****. That’s why I left.

I'm from Argentina and marriage equality has been the law of the land for over a decade... and yet I still experience homophobia when I kiss a guy in public or walk down the street holding a guy's hand. We even have laws that legally recognize non-binary people, but culture is still very backwards in most parts of the country, except capital cities / big cities.

Not if you're transgender :/ Brazil is the country with the highest number of homicides of trans people in the world, followed by Mexico

No country is perfect.  I can sit down and pick at the flaws of every country if we want.  Still would like to visit Brazil some day.

And yet the entire Asian and African continents are a lot worse :rip:

SA is actually one of the best places to be gay

homophobia still exists everywhere

Not this thread exposing how y'all don't know geography and how France has their borders in South America :skull:

What are these comments :rip: Just because a country has positive legislation or entertainment doesn’t necessarily mean that local attitudes of the population have caught up. Sending you love OP :heart2:

No place on earth is ideal for us Gheys but there are some places where it's better:

Western Europe >>>> Australia +NZ > North America > South America > Eastern Europe > Asia > Africa > Middle East

It kinda sucks everywhere, laws are a thing, but people are still very homophobic in Latin America in general, and even way more transphobic :monkey:

Ecuador is pretty progressive and gay marriage is legal. Also never faced serious issues for being gay. What country are you from?

I feel like South America accepts gay people but wont ever accept trans people ,at least not in my life time.

Don't recall France being apart of South America.

It is unfortunately.

The way other countries don't realize how great their lives and human rights are when countries like USA and Asian countries have it MUCH worse despite having legalized marriage and protection laws.

I know right?

This is why I want to move to Belize.

There’s no good place to be gay, I fear.
