Surprised that all 4 didn't make it to #1, especially because they all crossed over in a big way to the main 4 formats (Urban, Rhythmic, Top 40, Hot AC).

Yeah Truth Hurts was #1: https://www.billboard.com/charts/radio-songs/2019-09-22/ Say So got blocked by Blinding Lights Work It by Lose Yourself Super Bass peaked at #3

Pretty sure Superbass was fighting that LMAFO song and RITD.

I just think timing has messed her up in the past (Anaconda and Super Bass would've been EASY #1s in many other Hot 100 weeks), and sometimes her label doesn't invest in the right singles (Truffle Butter was DEFINITELY #1 potential with the right Nicki/Drake/Wayne visual, as well as Masquerade with a feature like Kesha, Rih or Katy). Her longevity and the ability to comeback to the top 5 of the Hot 100 this year is a testament to that.
dabunique Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Say So had to battle da biggest song of all time OT Congrats Latto, well deserved Look at Kim with Magic Stick

Female rap classics + future classic for Latto Wow I thought that thing would be listed but POP and AC was so big on radio at that time so maybe it just peaked top 10 or something.
slw84 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 not surprised by work it because Lose yourself blocked it on the hot 100 so I figured. it was #2 for months on the hot 100. What is Truth hurts classified as? Pop. Rhythmic or Rap. The pre-cursor to Doja Cat me thinks. I'm assuming Pop or rhythmic. All the people using but but it was up against competition as if none of the other songs hitting #1 had competition

Billboard doesn't consider Say So and Kiss Me More as Rap Songs. And they didn't reach #1 on Radio Songs. Both peaked at #2 on Radio Songs.

I don't think anyone knows her to have a true rap song but meh. Tier 1 Grammy categorization >>>>> tier 2 4 hours ago, Green said: Doo *** (That Thing) peaked at #2 on Radio Songs. I would like to know their justification behind it. Hip hop ok but rap. Hip hop and rap are two different things although similar.
