17 stadiums in one year is more than some girls have done in 10 years. But good thing, Beyonce and Taylor are there for stans of those girls to hide behind

Katy’s Vegas show is almost selling out each night and making the amount of money each night they expected as her team and resorts world agreed on the prices. It is by all metrics of the industry considered a huge success. The petty comparisons of atrl to spin a successful residency into being considered a “flop” is what’s sad here. 

 

i love Katy but I’m also a Gaga stan more. I’m actually happy that Gaga maintains her position as having one of the most successful residencies in Vegas. But I’m also happy Katy is succeeding there as well. They continued to expand it, it’s been critically praised, and she’s only the 5th female act in Vegas  to earn over $1 million in ticket sales off a single concert with $1.007 million each njght from Dec 28 to Jan 1.  It’s a success. There’s nothing to drag here. You can hate her but dragging her as a  flop just because she didn’t beat Gaga is a pathetic metric.

Gaga went to vegas right when she was about to have a big career boost thanks to Superbowl, ASIB etc...

Katy has been on a constant downward trend since Witness era back in 2017 and its only been going downhill. BUT she does have American Idol which gives her a really solid cheque..but musically speaking she has become extremely irrelevant.

OT: Not surprised. Gaga is one of the best live acts today and people pay big bucks to see her. Katy, she's doing fine for her 2022 standards. Interesting how OGHs who have resorted to say these two are on the same tier for a while now are suddenly out of explanations when confronted with receipts
