I didnt enjoy it as much as Ep 4&5 bit the new actors didnt disappoint :clap3:.. they served ACTING :jonny5:

The only one thing that pissed me off about the writing is how Ser Criston was never punished or demoted after the wedding :dies:

Other than that, so far the show is faring great

I do hope this completes in 2 seasons so we can get new prequel/sequel. No need to drag on the series.

She rejected him to his face after "using" him.

But he was in it as well and only asked her to run away because of his boomer moral of honor :rip: He trash talked Rhaenyra with Alicent this episode calling her spoiled *****, isnt that count as treason and breaking his vow as well since shes the heir to the throne?

Alicent is such a ***** lol. Olivia Cooke washed over the young Alicent acting wise tho ngl. I geniuenly hate her.

Aegon is a ******* mess LMAO

Criston is so unlikable holy ****. I still don't get how he switched 360 so suddenly on Rhenerya.

Rhenerya so stupid....is Laenor incapable of impregnating her or something lol

Harwin Strong demoted over dumb **** while Criston walking FREE among the richest after the **** he pulled on the wedding will always be the GoT season 8 writing of this series

honestly idk if im excited for this series or anymore or not but I'll keep tuning in

It's basically toxic masculinity, he has strong feelings for her but cares about his sense of honor more. She pushed him to break his oath by sleeping with her, then he tried to reclaim his sense of honour by proposing they run away and get married. That way he still would have broken his oath but he wouldn't have to live in kings landing as an oathbreaker. Rhenerya was only interested in having an affair with him which he feel would make him her w****. He's already a noble of such low standing that he's barely a noble and she's heir to the iron throne, he resents her as a woman being so far above him and in his mind she tried to push him even lower. So he switched on her, choosing to interpret every action she took in the worst way possible. Alicent feeds into this also. It's a toxic misogynistic obsession he has with her.

Seeing that idiot getting his ass beat was my favourite scene of the entire episode :allears:

Harwin is definitely an upgrade from him and is much more handsome and charismatic, Rhaenyra did choose the better man :clap3:

THIS !!!! (2)

I can't get over how good Emma and Olivia are. The way they talk, move, look and even breathe is so rich and calculated. They nailed Rhaenyra and Alice, and gave them so much layers. Perfection.

Omg YES. I LOVED Emilia Clarke but holy **** Emma and Olivia are SUCH great actors :jonny4:

Well yeah that's why he's "hurt". He thought she would drop everything and run away with him just because she had that moment with him.

It should count as treason but Alicent hates Rhae so :rip:

da frustration in this episode

How is dat trash still alive

How did she get so much power in 10 years

and Vicerys, sir i wish u weren't such a pushover, i would've slapped da taste out of Alicent's mouth for degrading Rhae

Rhaenyra is more likable than Alicent, but she's certainly no hero and was never written to be smart nor a great heir. Criston isn't totally off calling her spoiled; she has the same sense of entitlement as Daemon and a lot of the Targaryens had and thinks herself above the conventions of her role.

The obvious paternity of her children alone is a major mistake and her only offering an olive branch to Alicent when she realized how untenable situation her is becoming is another. I think the pacing is an issue showing the complexities of the conflict and a lot of people are just watching it as Rhaenyra = girlboss and Alicent = BAD.

I'm excited to see how they portray Helaena given how little attention the books gave her. In one scene alone she's already more interesting.

Now that they know the popularity of the show, I’m hoping they stop these very noticeable time jumps excessively in future seasons.

Apparently we’re getting older kids already later this season and I cannot deal. I thought we were done with the time jumps this episode :deadbanana2:

I think it'll be the last.

The future seasons (I think there's only 3 or 4 seasons total) will stabilize and won't jump anymore. I'm ready for it because I got whiplash from Laena changing actors three times :deadbanana: I really think the second Laena could've pulled off the third one, but I guess they had to change her since they changed Laenor.

I really don't mind the jumps at all. I guess its just me.

There is literally no way those young actors could pull off being the mother to the new kids this episode. It would off been a mess Milly is literally 22 IRL and the actor playing Aegon right now is 20. They would off been serving siblings.

The time jumps are annoying but necessary :deadbanana2:The show is about the dance of the dragons after all. The pacing for episode 6 is fast af but knowing what’s in store ahead, I think the production made the right call to speed through the events.

While I wish we got to see more of Harwin/Laena, it doesn’t make sense to slow down and focus on characters that are not involved in the main event. Lord knows how long the show would drag on without these time jumps…

Spoiler

There are kids important to the main event that are not born yet even with this massive time jump:jonny:

My biggest issue with the pacing is why have they been hinting that the king is dying/deathly/sick when this corpse has made it through 4 time jumps by now. I thought he was going to die every episode that’s happened :rip:

preview for next week is SICKENING

My one complaint too is almost like Rhaenyra didn’t even try to have one heir by Laenor. He could’ve easily ejaculated into a cup if they physically didn’t want to (or couldn’t) be intimate.

A lot of blame seems to fall on Rhaenyra (which I understand, considering she’s a Princess), but I feel like Laenor is equally to blame. 1, by not giving her an heir. And 2, by not taking a more active role in his kids’ life. He should’ve been at their training sessions for example and had a more active role in court, especially knowing that there’s people looking for his family’s downfall.

I though that maybe Laenor can’t  have kids, he tells Rhaenyra he tried and has been doing his part. Because if that was the case, then Rhaenyra truly had no other choice than going to another man to produce heirs. Reminds me of that one plot in the Marco Polo show, where the prince cannot have children so his mother convinces the princess to have sex with another man and pass the child as legitimate.

Such a good episode :jonny5: But my god are there so many kids and probably more on the way. I can't keep up and will have to have a cheat sheet :bibliahh:

Next week looks like another action packed episode :duca:

There’s no indication that he cannot have children. His whole thing is that he doesn't like women so probably can’t keep it up for the female body. That doesn’t stop them from 3-ways or the classic baster method. The problem is both of them were so wrapped up in their privileges that they put aside their duty to the realm and convinced themselves that they could get away with it forever. I understand having side pieces and bending the rules as future monarchs, but at the very least, they should’ve produced at least 1 heir by whatever means necessary. It is their duty as rulers and they caused a bunch of these issues by not fulfilling it.

A show on Jon Snow would put me to sleep lol.

OT: Laenor and Rhaenyra really couldn't pop out an heir? C'mon now...  :deadbanana2:

Anyways, loved the episode and can't wait for more.
