I honestly get confused by the dragons they have zero personality. The only standout is vHAGar.

I hated the time jumps.

 

In my opinion they could have shortened the prologue part. Just completely cut those parts out. 

 

The episode with the boar IMO was a waste.

Jahaerys vs Maegor, Jahaerys child drama and tragedy, eventually Aemon and Baelon dead and the great council succession would be a serve tbh (more than Aegon conquest). I'll give more aspect why Otto doesn't want 'another Maegor' as a ruler, why Rhaenys told Rhaenyra she wont be a ruler in episode 2 etc

Honestly I wouldn't mind at all if they just adapted the whole of Fire & Blood. Though I understand why they are focusing on the Dance as it is a much tighter story.

The ‘climax’ for the finale was simply not enough, they were scared it was going to not get extended so made it so the audience would natural want more. It was entertaining yet kinda bad apart from the Hightower’s, not changing the ser Criston actor… chile

Aemond is a GP fan fave, Jace is one of the only truly likable characters, and Aegon is a fun love-to-hate character.  I can't wait to see them get more screen time in S2!

The only of the kids worthwhile is Aemond. The Valeryon girls are being treated as props. Aegon is just there now. Haelena too. Jace… handsome but his moms puppet. Hopefully we get to see them in action more next season. 
 

In reality the Dance of Dragons is basically Rhaenyra/Daemon vs Aegon/Aemond

I think something of the sort happened. I still think the broad strokes and main points will still happen in the books, but how we get there will be very VERY different. So, George probably threw out some ideas that he knew wouldn't be received well and forged different paths. If I knew season 8 was gonna end the way it did, I would have been happy if the GOT show had never happened. And left the story unfinished (because we're only getting that ending by miracle).

Just Viserys and we knew that roach was going to croak. 

 

The whole season was family gathering, drama, death, another reason for family gathering and so on. None of the deaths hit. They just placed them since they were written in  the books and to be “Game of Thrones”

 

They tried so hard to make Luke Likable and relatable in the last episode. We need more time to get invested in the characters.
