So that was a fantastic first episode. It just sucks knowing that no matter how good this is for its entire run it will always lead to GOT S8.

I think GRRM approved this, so it's fine :foxaylove2:

Exactely. Just further proof that the book ending will be different and D&D messed up.

what an episode :jonny4:

gave me GoT vibes, the writing, direction, everything was perfect. I was SHOOK more than once!

so many characters to root for. I expected a great first episode, but this blew me away :clap3:

i enjoyed it, the story is interesting so far and rhaenyra is a great character

however, the political aspects and the dialogue don't live up to got's first season at all and the world is not as rich or grand as got's either

Not watching til tonight, but are there really no opening credits?  I will be very disappointed if that's true.  GOT has the most iconic opening credits/theme of all time, and I'm expecting HBO to go all out to try to match that.

3.5 hours until it’s out in Australia. I can’t wait! I’ve read the books and this will be better than GOT.

I've watched it again and that says a lot since I didn't re-watch S7 & S8 episodes :campfire:

I think it was pretty good :clap3: Great setup for a series, with so many moving parts already in play.

Fantastic first episode :clap3: Did a great job of introducing most of the characters in play while having subtle nods to what we know as GoT :clap3: I think we have another hit series in the making

The Daenerys recognition at the beginning :gaycat:

Milly was, unsurprisingly, the MVP and this was amazing as a whole.

An excellent first episode. The tension,  the twists,  the action scenes,  the gory scenes,  the nude scenes,  the confrontational scenes were all serves :clap3:

They didn't even show pole :biblio: They better fix this in the future.

Now why is that after all these years and money they still can't buy good wigs for the Targaryens

Not true. It debuts on HBO Max at the same time as HBO.
