Stepfon Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 (edited) I thought we could have a thread to discuss our favorite actresses and their performances in films and TV, past award seasons, etc. @nostalgia @Reverse Warholian ALERT THE GIRLS! Edited April 19, 2022 by Stepfon
suburbannature Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 (edited) Kirsten Dunst > your faves Edited April 19, 2022 by suburbannature
Devin Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 Some beautiful and talented actresses. - Angela Bassett - Nia Long - Regina King - Gabrielle Union - Lynn Whitfield - Regina Hall - Luptia Nyongo - Dorothy Dandridge - Viola Davis
ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted April 18, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted April 18, 2022 Vivien Leigh succeeded in giving the performance of a lifetime in Streetcar, a feat both many hailed female and male actors have not been able to match.
EnigmaticAndroid Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 Ooh good thread idea Rebecca Hall needs to land a good role in a major player sometime to finally get into the Oscar conversation. Her performance in Christine alone is just...
Space Cowboy Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Catherine Zeta Jones did what she had to do in Chicago. Jennifer Lawrence is a FAD.

ZORBIT Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Anya Taylor Joy, Mia Goth, and now recently Julia Garner are my top faves to always support whatever they're in Viola's first stump with Michelle Obama will be intriguing to witness
State of Grace. Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Yas always wondered why we don't have films general discussion thread outside of the awards season threads. JLaw might be a fad but Mother! >>>>>>> your faves careers btw
Into The Void Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Why not tv actresses? I watch way more tv than film tbh

duybeeGAshantiGA Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 (edited) I always feel kinda bad for Rachel McAdams. So much wasted potential. She could have and should have been HUGE. Yes she still has many hit films but she stopped being that ***** in the game and now she rarely acts in big films or if she does, it's small and supporting roles (even behind another less talented female actress) like in Doctor Strange. Beyonnaise Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 JLaw is good actually and she is gonna slay in Bad Blood. She fits Elizabeth Holmes way more than Amanda Seyfried (a queen but too nice).

Tea, I hope she can pull a Reese and have a comeback with an acclaimed HBO show She deserves so much more

Into The Void Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 I think Lili Reinhart would do well with a good plot, outside of Riverdale. Her performance in Chemical Hearts was quite good imo.

Lili isn’t getting as many.
