afterhoursxo Posted September 27 Posted September 27 not there's COLDPLAY haters anyways this is what happens when you're in it for the music not the bling (but still snatching a 1B+ tour in the process ) On 9/26/2024 at 8:46 AM, shimind said: I read that their tickets are very cheap. If Taylor sold tix at that price, she could do a wembley date everyday for the rest of her life. 2

It will be over in 2025. It's not like the band have much ground to cover anymore, Africa is the only continent missing. 1

Paddy Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I completely get it. I went to see them out of curiosity and had an incredible night. They put on an amazing show and that's what people go for and the hits... they do have many of them! 3
TeemoR Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Everyone I know wants a ticket to see their show. Ugh they are so bland, but definitely slaying it.

Marla Singer Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Impressive but not shocking, they're the biggest artist on tour right now.

Their music is VERY accessible to almost everyone. They've never done anything problematic so anyone can proudly proclaim as a Coldplay fan. And the visual effects of this tour have been spectacular so far. That's why artists like Coldplay will always outsell "MPGs" who only pander to the gays 2

I saw Coldplay live ages ago and was the biggest waste of money Ive ever spent, even worse than as Girls Aloud's karaoke tours (which at least had some fun and colour to it) You are on ATRL. A pop music forum...so lose the snobbery. You are definately trolling because their live shows are nothing but lights and confetti and staging. IDK what "fun and color" you want. lol 1

On the GA comparison, perhaps I didn't illustrate my point in the best way. Just them throwing some colour around doesnt make it good and interesting, or even creative. I meant colour as in vibrant and fun. They are the most mediocre band around, both in the studio and in the live show, and that is from personal experience attending their tour. Like, it is nothing new. The GP loves mediocrity, you only have to look at the biggest names in pop and touring right now to understand that. The flatter and more beige it is, the more popular/digestible it is. It's the idiotic world we live in, whereas people are content with whatever it is thrown at them by mainstream acts. It just sucks because so many artists out there could do something amazing given the chance, but we have to contend with crap like Coldplay. Ah well...

Mr.X Posted October 3 Posted October 3 1 hour ago, Shelter said: Which artists put on better concerts, examples please. Lets see, just of the top of my head from the ~mainstream~ pop acts who play at Stadium or arena levels: Beyonce, Billie Eilish, Florence & The Machine, Madonna, Rolling Stones, etc, just to name a few. They put on a well crafted show, even where some of them play with more minimalist staging. Although Madonna's last tour sounded flat as **** as she didn't tour with a band, so the whole thing sounded like karaoke, which is so lame when pop acts do that... But at least it was good elsewhere, all around. Coldplay are ******* terrible, sorry.

It's a shame you didn't had fun seeing them perform, but calling Coldplay a mediocre live act when their current tour has numerous five-star reviews, including from publications that usually hate them, is wild
