Dessy Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Jamelia - Superstar This is a whole slay IU - LILAC Cute. Mya - Case Of The Ex Nice classic. Kelis - Trick Me This is good but i like the other one better. More iconic you know?
Dessy Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Wynter Gordon - Dirty Talk This was pretty good. The production reminds me of early '10s Rihanna a bit. Calvin Harris - I Need Your Love (feat. Ellie Goulding) Now this collab was quite enjoyable. Good on you! Girls’ Generation - The Boys Wait this is a serve!
Dessy Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Billie Eilish - everything i wanted This is a cute vibe. Idk if it'll make my list but strong consideration just cause it's so chill compared to everything else here. Jay-Z - 03’ Bonnie & Clyde (feat. Beyoncé) This (apparently underrated) classic. They complement each other nicely on songs. I do prefer Part 2 but this is solid Girls’ Generation - Run Devil Run This was also cute. Maybe some points were indeed made about Girls' Generation. Maybe I'll dive into their discography.
Lucky#17 Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Gwen Stefani f/ Akon— The Sweet Escape Song selection + the fact that this is first = hopefully massive points for you. Everything about this is right. Klara Hammarström — Run to the Hills This is a very solid song/I can see why it was a hit somewhere. I’m not sure if it’s on a level where I’d rank it over the many songs I already have an attachment to that were sent. The Pussycat Dolls f/ Snoop Dogg — Buttons PISSED at you for taking this before I could. Also, extra points for sending the version with Snoop Dogg; always loved his intro & bridge. Monrose — Hot Summer This is being so dated/of the time + from a girl group = GREAT, at least for me. This’ll be one of the songs I didn’t know prior that’ll fight for a point or two. Shakira — Loba The English version is one of my Top10 Favorite Songs of All-Time. The Spanish version was always just “there” for me. There were better Shakira choices. Fifth Harmony f/ Ty Dolla $ign — Work from Home The Harmonizer in me wants to defend this through points ff; I might be ranking the late 2000s/early 2010s classics over this & it might miss my Top10 though. At least the song still holds up cutely. Troye Sivan — Angel Baby Wouldn’t go as far as to call this a “dud”, but it just doesn’t reach the level the round’s calling for, at least for me. The production is lovely though. Jordin Sparks f/ Chris Brown — No Air ******* classic. Job well done. Red Velvet — Psycho It’s solid & would do well with me in a different round, gets washed in this1 :/ Dido — White Flag It’s a classic for sure, but I don’t prefer it/like it enough to others in the round. Cascada — Everytime We Touch WAIIIIT now whoever you are, I love you; thank you for this throwback! I do prefer Evacuate the Dancefloor & this will probably miss my Top10, but you’ve got my wishes of luck. Whitney Houston & Enrique Iglesias — Could I Have This Kiss Forever ff; I mean I sent Aretha last round just ‘cause it was Aretha so I can’t fault you for this choice. MGMT — Kids Holy **** I haven’t heard this song in FOREVER. This is one of those rare cases where I adore the longass intro & all the instrumentation break going on in the bridge. Ahhhh… I’m very conflicted with this1 because I think a lot of players will write you off, but I have more attachment with other entries. Meghan Trainor — NO Always thought the song was cute, but never loved-loved it. Kelis — Milkshake Yup, hot-hot bop-bop. Hikaru Utada — One Last Kiss This is beautiful. If I don’t give it points, I’m wishing you best of luck!!! David Guetta f/ Nicki Minaj & Flo Rida — Where Them Girls At The amount of summer nights I’d be dancing in my room sweating to this song. There are stronger songs BUT lemme see if I sneak a point for this. Shania Twain — Man! I Feel Like a Woman! Absolute classic. I’ll pass on giving this pts. ‘cause you’ve got safety in the bag & some others could definitely use ‘em. Calvin Harris f/ Ellie Goulding — Outside A tune, for sure. Måns Zelmerlöw — Cara mia I’mma assume this was sent from an eliminated player. Mark Ronson f/ Amy Winehouse — Valerie Very-very nice pick. Aya Nakamura — Djadja I only knew Jolie nana from her & liked it; this one, not as much. Rita Ora — Let You Love Me Strong choice. Love Rita’s Euro-Pop bops. Red Velvet — Red Flavor I’m kinda surprised at how good this is. Lemme list this as a contender for points. BESS — Ram pam pam Eh, didn’t leave an impression on me. Aaliyah — Are You That Somebody You came hard with this1. Shakira f/ Alejandro Sanz — La Tortura My backup submission to Buttons that was still taken!!! At least someone sent this ABSOLUTE classic though. Can’t express how much I love this1. Calvin Harris & Disciples — How Deep Is Your Love Bop-bop for sure. Gwen Stefani — What You Waiting For? ****, yeah, this is getting Top10'd. Flume f/ kai — Never Be Like You Ooh, you hit a nerve with this1. Juanes f/ Kali Uchis — El Ratico Kali did her thing of course. As a whole, I’m not in love with it enough to pop out points. Chanel — SloMo (Eurovision’s Dancebreak Edit) Wait a min… I’m not familiar with Eurovision but was already under the impression the songs sounded cheap, etc. This is strong, actually. The Dancebreak Edit was probably a smarter choice of the available versions as well. If you're not playing to come back, I hope you make it through to the next round. Alizée — Moi… Lolita I’m glad the production came more alive towards the end ‘cause I was starting to get a bit bored mid-way. Nelly Furtado — All Good Things (Come to An End) Surprisingly, this is my first time hearing this1. It’s really nice! - gotta listen to this next time I’m on a train. September — Cry for You You also came hard with this1. Nelly Furtado — I’m Like a Bird Was never in love with this1 as many others were. Jamelia — Superstar Always heard of her/this song’s existence, but never listened. This is so cool-teen-2000s-whatever-you-want-to-call-it, it’s fantastic. IU — LILAC Gonna pass on this1. Mya — Case of the Ex (Whatcha Gonna Do) A classic, great job! Kelis — Trick Me The Milkshake vs. Trick Me debate in here is cute. I think both are fantastic. For me, I guess it’ll come to Top10’ing both or not giving either points. Wynter Gordon — Dirty Talk I looove how of-the-time it sounds. Calvin Harris f/ Ellie Goulding — I Need Your Love Ugh, I remember the video for this being spammed on the TV. The cuteness of the song/them is undeniable & is tempting me to pop out points (I’m realizing I’m tempted by too many songs don’t @ me). Girls’ Generation — The Boys A fuckin’ classic. I did listen much more to the English version back in the day, so I needa adjust a bit here. Billie Eilish — everything i wanted Eh, Billie’s voice is nice but her music never clicked-clicked with me like that. JAY-Z f/ Beyoncé — 03’ Bonnie & Clyde It’s a classic, but I never used it much, even during the 2000s. Girls’ Generation — Run Devil Run To echo someone, I do prefer Kesha’s version, but this is still an undeniable classic. Considering Kesha had such a grit on her version, the fact they went with a smoother vocal approach played into their favor - they couldn't pull off emulating her "thing". I do prefer it to The Boys. ••• The way I've got 22songs down as contenders for points. Fantastic round, good luck everyone!
Bicassie Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 I’m trying hard to not get too excited about the results but so far it’s looking pretty good for my return anything can happen tho especially after I missed returning last time with just 1 spot

bestfiction Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 (edited) Whitney Houston & Enrique Iglesias - Could I Have This Kiss Forever It's not bad at all and I enjoyed it quite a bit but let's just say... I hope you haven't been eliminated yet cause your chances of coming back with this are abysmal MGMT - Kids Was annoyed by this Meghan Trainor - NO Yesss stan Meghallah Godnor wait I forgot that it's actually bad. Flo Rida & Nicki Minaj) - mega bop nicki’s verse slaps so hard Shania Twain - Man! I Feel Like A Woman - cuntry classic kind of impossible to not bop to it Calvin Harris - Outside (feat. Ellie Goulding) - both Outside and this are classics Calvin and Ellie work really well together Girls’ Generation - The Boys - not feeling this that much Billie Eilish - everything i wanted - one of her best Jay-Z - 03’ Bonnie & Clyde (feat. Beyoncé) - it’s alright Girls’ Generation - Run Devil Run - it’s cute I think I used to bop to Kesha’s demo of this back in the day great round @Element and @thecptz snapped with the theme
bestfiction Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Aya Nakamura - Djadja Not good! Rita Ora - Let You Love Me Was, idk, Anywhere not allowed for this round? This so generic dear god.. Red Velvet - Red Flavor Campy classic, really something what RV does best BESS - Ram pam pam It's not bad per se, just not something that would make the cut in such a tight round Aaliyah - Are You That Somebody Enjoyed it much more than I expected Shakira - La Tortura Better than Loba but I'm still not head over hills over this Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love Pre-Funk Wav Bounces Calvin is a no [2] Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For? I can only echo sentiments Sanguine and many others have already said. Really amazing song and quite unique theme-wise, not every day you get bops about having a writers block. She came on this ***** mad as hell! Flume - Never Be Like You (feat. kai) A 'generic' EDM song with some quirky/left-field twist, I like it! Lyrics could've been better though but I don't mind Juanes - El Ratico It's okay, but as you guessed it 'okay' doesn't make the cut here

If we are talking about that Croatian chart you are right cause it says nowhere that it’s the official chart of the country. It is however the only chart that always gets shown so I don’t think that the host would punish them sadly
Not Like The Movies Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 (edited) My thoughts pt 1 Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape - what a strong way to begin this round, I love this song so so much. Klara Hammarström - Run To The Hills - I tried but this is not the type of music I enjoy, sorry boo. The Pussycat Dolls - Buttons (feat. Snoop Dog) - A classic, queen Melody snapped Monrose - Hot Summer - this ain't it, sorry boo. Shakira - Loba - I really like this song, gurls complaining about spanish version, my afro latino *** have no problem with that! Fifth Harmony - Work From Home (feat. Ty Dolla $ign) - this is a whole *** bop idc, they snapped on this!! A smash hit! Troye Sivan - Angel Baby - such a sweet song, I love this song Jordin Sparks - No Air - Fist Brown can choke but this song is a huge R&B classic and smasha, I love this song! I can't pan this for the culture, its really good. Red Velvet - Psycho - it's okay, not bad. Dido - White Flag - this classic, I love love this song! Cascada - Everytime We Touch - I've always disliked this poorly produced mess, I just find it extremely cheap sounding, sorry boo. Whitney Houston & Enrique Iglesias - Could I Have This Kiss Forever - I like this song, Whitney is mother, weird choice from her but I guess nothing else was available, anyways I like it. RIP Queen. MGMT - Kids - I never cared for this, its just not for me, sorry boo. Meghan Trainor - NO - she ate and left no crumbs!! I love this BOP! Kelis - Milkshake - that's a classic! This album is SO good! Flo Rida & Nicki Minaj) - This is okay, not one of my favs but it's alright. Shania Twain - Man! I Feel Like A Woman - LETS GO GIRLS!!!!!! This has to be one of my fav 'country pop' songs of all time. A huge classic! THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A WOMAN IS THE PREROGATIVE TO HAVE A LITTLE FUN Calvin Harris - Outside (feat. Ellie Goulding) - it's sad to see some girls switching on this big bop! I love it! Måns Zelmerlöw - Cara mia - oh you must be trolling at this point sweetie Mark Ronson - Valerie (feat. Amy Winehouse) - enjoyable but not among my favs, rip icon tho. Aya Nakamura - Djadja - this Afrobeat French banger, standouts genre-wise in the group, I love this song!
