If she doesn’t have any more hits, Kelly will still sell albums and Underneath The Tree is a Golbal hit (and getting bigger)

 

Her show is about to take the Ellen time slot in September this year and will be aired in different countries, so let’s hope it helps when she releases new music.

Kelly is an average popularity star who had one huge era well beyond any of her others. Her music also has no real acclaim aside from "Since U Been Gone". It's competent middle of the road pop rock but Clive Davis didn't lie when he said "My December is not poetry, it's pop music without hits".

 

She is never going to be a music legend. She is a successful person in entertainment and a well-known star in America, but a true legend, the kind of person everyone in the room gives a standing O as soon as they appear, like they did for Joni at the Grammys? She was never in contention for that. The material is not there no shade.

The thing is she doesn’t really need the “material” (which she does have.) She already gets the standing ovations when she performs anywhere. She’ll become an even bigger music artist just by being a great vocalist. I think you quoting Clive kind of says a lot about your opinion though lol. He also said Because Of You was a bad song, but that’s her biggest song worldwide. Of course you’re entitled to your opinion, but sounds like you actually don’t know much about KC. But agree to disagree or something lol.

Yes he did. Also, before I finish reading and responding, saying “no shade” is like saying “no offense”… sounds condescending and seems like you’re actually trying to be “shady” just to crap on someone or something and not actually wanting to say something worth while. Also using “mediocre flop” and saying a bit of Clive nonsense is making me think you’re just being “shady” because you think it’s cute or something?  Not sure..But anyway,

 

YOU might think My December is mediocre, but many people think it’s her best album. Me included. It has some of her best songs and I had some misconceptions about her music but that album made me love her as a music artist and songwriter. Again, many find this is her best work. 

She didn’t want the Breakaway success. She was very vocal about not wanting that anymore. All I Ever Wanted is her worse album mainly because it was 95% of Clive’s doing. It did help her, but the music was generic and what is actually mediocre. 

 

“Stronger” was one of her biggest hits though. After Clive had no say in any of her music. But Clive was wrong about many other things lol, but I’m sure you can use Google for that haha. 
 

anyway, she has the hits. Her voice is elevating her status and she’ll keep being successful with music and tv. She might not sell Breakaway numbers, but I’m sure she’ll keep surprising people, even if the nay sayers disagree lol. Anyway, like ai said, agree to disagree.

Not every Singer has a "daughter". No one will say they are influenced by Demi, Ariana or Billie in the Future and that's okay. They already proved they are here to stay and made some impact.

Artists are already popping up in the industry that have clearly been influenced by Ari and Billie. 

 

Demi feels like Kelly's thaughter just because of the style of belt singing and becoming a talk show host

She was never gonna be a legend (at least outside the U.S), but she’s an Icon and she will always have her legacy as being the first Idol and proving winners could be successful.
