Either way, I think it speaks volumes that Cardi was able to do what others couldn't do with any major co-sign at all.

It sure does and it INFURIATES Nicki that Cardi side stepped her and went on to be a MONUMENTAL success whist WASHING Nicki in the process....achieving things in just a few years that Nicki couldn't do in 10.

Now Nicki is sucking up Cardi's scraps and rejects whilst Cardi has ICONS wanting to collab :deadbanana4:

All they had to is look at Cardi’s string of flop collabs she’s been releasing for the past two years :smitten:

Actual legends are thirsting for Cardi collab she good….they other hoes want ol girl hive mind fans to boost them for week.

Cardi is simply more selective, does far less collaboration and tends to say NO (Tusa, that little mix song)

o.t. Cardi is way more selective. which is a good thing because Nicki literally worked with everyone and their grandma back in the day and when she does choose to be selective, the songs become hits, just look at Industry Baby.

Deflect, deflect  you know this hit a nerve because it’s true, couldn’t even prove me wrong.

people hate to admit it on this site because Nicki is problematic but she is the original. the source. the new rap girls want to collab with her because they looked up to her growing up.

it's not necessarily for chart success. it's a wish fulfilment, like when Dua got Madonna on her remix

cardi raps for the bling versus nicky for the art which more new rap girlies can relate with

because Nicki is a female rap legend while Cardi is a meme

I mean, most of Nicki's songs spend less than a month on the charts, so do we really want to talk about flop collaborations, the irony...

Barbz indirectly acknowledging that Cardi is the bigger and better rapper by acting as if some female rappers wanting to collab with Nicki is some kind of anomaly. :skull:

probably because they see the barbz mass buy nicki's features

so they want a quick peak in the top 40 to make it seem like they have a hit, because the gp doesn't know or care how many weeks a song spent on the charts

Nicki is a veteran and she's respected. She has shown what she can do with her pen and how hard she spits when she really tries.

Cardi may be good for an attempt at getting a hit, but she has little to no talent, no iconic bars and isn't respected like Nicki is or used to be by oldheads.

I mean…Nicki is more respected lyrically.  While Cardi is more respected commercially.  So, I get it.

But most, honestly, would totally do what Meg did.  Work with Nicki for the street cred, and work with Cardi for the mega hit.

As much as I love Meg, she was being hella shady with that move (only b/c of the sly comments prior to “WAP”)…but in a perfect world ALL the girls would do the same back-to-back move, if they thought they could get away with it.    It was well played.

I haven’t looked at Horse Girl the same every since she did that. She comes off as an opportunist to me.
