1999 =/= 2011

this song isn’t hers

it wasn’t remixed to chart

it was remixed for Britney’s power to take it to #1. Not everyone has that, I’ll say that.

Well do most people associate that song with Rated R or Loud?

She also has short hair in that video like she did for most of Rated R, and I guess when I think of the Loud era I think of Rihanna with much longer hair and her public persona seemed much different from that point on too. The music was less serious and much more dance too.

Rated R was more serious and musically Love The Way You Lie seems to fit in more with that too with it’s theme

Although Love The Way You Lie Part 2 was on Loud (and along with the red hair you mentioned) so I could see it going that way too. :gaycat6:

I would definitely classify it under the LOUD era simply because of the red hair. The LOUD era was just Rihanna with different red wigs she borrowed from the Wendy's girl.

Rihanna was often criticized throughout her career for not really sticking to one genre, so LTWYL could easily be placed on either album or belong to either era tbh. Add to the fact she released albums in such quick succession to one another so the eras would often become blurred together.

The LOUD era had 10 singles if you include any single/video where red hair Riri was featured so I included songs like Who's that Chick?(which she also rocks short red hair actually and was released in the middle of the LOUD era.), All of the Lights and Fly.

So yeah LOUD was more about the red imo and the florals and the bright colors and Rihanna just in her bag/peak.

Yes because having a mainstream career that lasted three years max is better than having one that is lasting over ten - and counting. Mathematical skills needs some work.

Ariana is not going to be remembered. She has done nothing memorable.

Ariana is on the brink of her tenth year of her career and yet she still just scored her biggest hit of all time just last year. Billie has already been replaced by Olivia. Worry about that.

Hits that won't stand the test of time. Billie is fine with her unique records and awards.

Yes, she’ll be fine sitting right next to Christopher Cross and Debbie Gibson. We love that for her.

Better than sitting next to Katy Perry. Do I need to remind you that Ariana is almost 30 and she keeps it squeaky?

Yes because apparently Mrs. Perry was still cranking out number ones this far in her career :skull: Keep up babygirl, you’re stuck.

Yet the only thing you talk about is hits. Is Ariana a singles artist? Is that how she is going to be remembered?

Aren’t mostly all artists considered single artists? Isn’t the first thing you remember about an artist is their songs instead of their entire discography? Isn’t that what they are recognized by or affiliated with on first basis? Catch up. Social media has you deluded.
