This was absolutely bottom 5 worst MCU :deadbanana4: I'm kinda shocked because usually MCU films are ok/fine but wow.

Miss Wasp not having a storyline :rip: Cassie boring character :rip: Michelle Pfeiffer slayed though

I honestly don’t get the hate? It was enjoyable I loved it, yeah it had its faults like most MCU films do but it certainly doesn’t deserve to be rotten when you have films like Thor Dark World and Love & Thunder, Black Widow which all respectfully….  Are Just bad.

It was certainly the BEST antman film and it was probably the most entertaining marvel film in a while in my opinion.

Okay, now I’m just pissed. I’m going to have to defend this mid tier movie more than I wanted lol. In no way, shape or form is this movie worse than Love and Thunder. This deserves at least a B+ attached to it. It’s not great and the MCU has work to do…. Idk so maybe giving it a B will light a bit of fire under it. Thank GOD Peyton Reed didn’t get the F4 movie. Whatever, I’m moving on to Guardians and Secret Invasion.

Eternals was better

They really have to spend the money on better writers. Marvel is notorious for spending the least on behind the scenes talent!   Where does all the money go because those big budgets are not coming through on camera lately.  If the writing/directores aren’t good the talent on camera will look like horrible actors…Eternals, Thor Love and Thunder etc

it’s passing the 100M projections today, another Marvel hit incoming I fear. Projection have been officially bumped up to $110-$120M after positive audience reactions.

I’m confused. I just watched it yesterday and really enjoyed so did all the people I saw it with. Had no clue it got bad reviews until just now. :deadbanana2: Anyways I might watch it again in 3D

No chance it’ll get close to Ant-Man 2 now. Wonder how low it’ll go might even barely the first one. Depending on the budget this could Marvels biggest bomb outside Co-vid.

Kang and Janet were the standouts of the movie…I could of watched a film of just them 2 in the quantum realm

Ragnarok (855M) -> Love & Thunder (760M)

Black Panther (1,349M) -> Wakanda Forever (855M)

Ant-Man 2 (622M) -> Ant-Man 3 (<600M)

I believe GOTG 3 and Marvels will also fail to outdo their prequel. I wonder if this is mainly because of quality dip or absence of Iron-Man, Caption America, Black Widow and Boseman' Black Panther have created a hole that they haven't filled yet. Only Spider Man and Scarlett Witch feels like universal characters right now.

This wasnt that bad. Critics were just being salty. It got much better once Kang showed up

That’s how marvel works these day, they expect one big moment, character etc save the entire movie/show.

This movie wasn't that bad. Idrk how its supposed to be a setup movie either like a ton of ppl are saying bc the story was pretty singular... It was like 5-6/10, what i normally expect from a marvel movie.

I honestly don’t see how any of the avengers are going to take down kang :deadbanana2: besides Wanda, Thor, and Dr Strange the rest just seem like fodder. 1 is “dead” the other is in space somewhere and one is in a dimension outside of time and space. Wonder what plot armor device marvel is cooking up for this.

Deadpool 3 (feat. Wolverine) seems like their only surefire hit in Phase 5 :deadbanana:

I'm actually shocked at how boring Kang's first proper introduction was :rip: I felt like I was watching some pointless GOTG side quest (and GOTG by itself is a drag). I wish they visually separated the MCU space and the MCU quantum realm at least somehow, all those quirky creatures and humanoid beings are just :skull: with that being said, I know this will all fall into place eventually and now that they plan on spacing out the movies and shows a bit more, I have hope. Loki S2 will slay for sure :gaycat2:

Is F4 not in phase 5? I think that one most likely will be a hit

OT: the movie isn’t bad, it’s ok, first half is boring and the second half is good and very entertaining, most of the jokes landed, VFX was decent/good, Michelle was amazing, I liked the dynamic in the antman family, the bad things were MODOK, the lackluster beginning, and the Wasp’s haircut

I’d give it a 6.5/10

Why are people so sure F4 will be a hit? The F4 brand has been damaged so much over the last twenty years, and there's no guarantee people will like F4.
