BNF91 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 (edited) These reviews are worse than I thought... Not good at all. Let's hope for a $100M domestic debut, but I'm not so sure anymore. Waiting for the next batch of presales data comps to come through. China.. yikes. Ant-Man 2 opening weekend- $67M Ant-Man 3 forecasted total- $70-80M I'm thinking $260M domestic and $360M OS. $620M finish, might not outgross the last one. Edited February 15, 2023 by BNF91
Brunette Ambition Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Yikes Seems like critics are getting tired of 3 hour long toy commercials these days.
OhMyAlf Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Guess this is one I'll wait to be on Disney+ then
OreGuy Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Will be watching in 1hr and 45mins. Let's go girlies. Let's see if critics made some points. If this is indeed bad, this will be the last one I'd see first day except The Marvels ofc
Donquizote Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Wonder if this will be frontloaded I'll wait for Disney+ though.
OreGuy Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Ladies, I hate to say it but the critics might be wrong here like they were to Eternals. It's very Star Wars-y, but I don't think that's bad. Highly enjoyable and I was invested.

Sweetestsecret Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 This is going to be a hit despite the negative reviews .. $102,500,000 box office predictions https://www.boxofficepro.com/weekend-box-office-forecast-marvel-studios-ant-man-and-the-wasp-quantumania-targets-top-3-all-time-february-launch-has-a-shot-at-100m/

It’s over for marvel, phase 4 was completed nonsenses even though there were some fun moments.

Gorjesspazze9 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 (edited) Seeing this after Work tomorrow! Also same people been saying Marvel is over since 2020, and yet every single project without fail, are the first ones to comment😆 idk what other studio is able to release $200M movies multiple times a year, and still have each of them be successful, profitable, and relevant also my friends that have saw it said the internet is being overdramatic again. The movie did what it was supposed to by making Kang Relevant to the mainstream. and this is a fun family adventure movie. There are valid criticisms to why the reviews are mixed, but it’s definitely not because “Marvel is Over”. Especially when the most universal positive part of the Movie is Kang. Whose name is in the title of the Next Avengers movie. Lmfao Edited February 15, 2023 by Gorjesspazze9
Cheers Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Knew it was going to be awful CANCEL KANG ERA!!! CANCEL FANTASTIC FOUR!!!
Kylizzle Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 $20M below domestic predictions is not good no matter how you spin it.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Except it literally surpassed Projections 😆

Excited to see this Sunday Let's just say it's better than Ant-Man 2, Thor 4, Black Widow preferred it over BP2 as well in terms of entertainment, and MOM in terms of action scenes. CGI-fest, obvi, but I don't think it ever got distracting, it's just over the top.
Jude Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Why the f*ck this is panned? The movie was f**king good omg. Stunning visuals. Incredible fight scenes. Some nice humor. Ugh. People have no taste.
Jude Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 The daughter was really annoying and her acting was really bad, those are the only complaints I have for this movie. Overall it's a 8/10 movie.
BNF91 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 (edited) France opening day over 35% down from Ant-Man 2.. Hong Kong debut below the previous film as well. South Korea has lowest opening day of the series, down 45% from Ant-Man 2. China presales flatlined. Opening weekend looking to be about $27-32M there.. I smell floppage. Edited February 16, 2023 by BNF91
By the Water Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 I thought it was fine. Definitely not worse than the average Phase 4 movie and much better than the last Ant Man movie for sure

Tho I might say, it wasn't as promoted like BP2 or MOM.
Roman Holiday Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Screaming at the screenwriter also writing Kang Dynasty. We’re doomed
