All eyes are on this movie. If it flops or underperforms, Warner, Disney and superhero movie stans should really start to worry :ninja:.

Projected to open with $120M:

I can't believe Elizabeth Debicki's goofy ass character is going to be a serious villain :rip:

Presales are poor. It's still tracking behind Ant-Man 3, it's really sluggish.. sub $100M debut looks like it could happen.

As much as I don't particularly care for Chris (I don't hate him but don't like him either), I do love the other Guardian characters. They are some of the more well drawn in the franchise, not to mention the abundance of talent throughout the stacked cast. I have faith they'll give us a solid, potentially great, conclusion. Sad that the numbers aren't looking amazing, but honestly if the film surprises audiences (kind of like how the first one did) I could maybe see it serving legs :michael:

Either way, I'll definitely be seated opening day

I don’t think it’s out of the question that this could become a surprise hit, especially if the word of mouth is good, since the GP seems pretty fond of Guardians. But speaking as an MCU fan I personally have near zero hype for this movie tbh :deadbanana4:

I can’t wait to see more of Mantis & Nebula. They lowkey have become my favorite guardians recently. Still think Rocket is the best one on the team tho. This Will obviously do well, but it is strange how little hype this film has. Marketing is ok, but maybe they could have done better with the trailers. If anyone remembers the first guardians trailer is what really got the general audience on board. Anyways I still think it’s gonna be the biggest movie of the summer or at least one of the biggest of the year easily
